More Republicans try and kill Democrats

He actually seems kind of like a sad sack to me. I don't know if people forget but Joe Biden lost his golden child, Beau Biden, who I am pretty sure was being groomed to be Joe's successor and even after he died no one looked at Hunter and said, well you'll do. So he's been the dark horse in that family for forever, lost his brother and didn't even move up in line.

The guy is coping with being the discarded son of the U.S. President with hookers and blow, not paying his taxes and lying on firearms background checks. For some reason the MAGA-verse thinks these facts should be the downfall of Joe Biden. They even mocked a heartfelt call from Joe Biden to Hunter that got leaked where you can basically just hear a heartbroken father begging his troubled son to reach out. That was some pretty low behavior even for a crowd that prides itself on acting like nasty little children.
No, I agree with you. I was just messing around.

Just in case anyone believed the BS story of both the attacker and Paul Pelosi being in their underwear, you were dumb to believe the lie. Here is the truth.

Following the attack, social media users have shared a variety of false claims regarding the incident. One of these claims is that Pelosi and DePape were in their underwear when police arrived at the scene.

"Paul Pelosi & his attacker were half naked when the police showed up," says an Oct. 28 Instagram post. "They were both in their underwear."

The post garnered more than 60,000 likes in the first four days. Similar iterations have been shared on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

The claims are false. A news outlet mistakenly reported that DePape was in his underwear at the time of the attack, but has since published a correction. DePape was wearing shorts while Pelosi was wearing a pajama shirt and boxer shorts, police said.

TVU Fox 2 in the Bay Area initially reported that DePape was in his underwear when apprehended, according to Politico. The news outlet has since corrected the mistake, adding an editor's note to the bottom of its Oct. 28 article.

"CORRECTION: An earlier version of this story misstated what clothing the suspect was wearing when officers found him," reads the note.

The district court's criminal complaint says DePape was wearing shorts at the time of the attack.

"Officers removed a cell phone, cash, clipper cards and an unidentified card from DEPAPE’s right shorts pocket," reads the complaint.

"Mr. Pelosi, who was sleeping, was wearing a loose-fitting pajama shirt and boxer shorts," District Attorney Brooke Jenkins said at an Oct. 31 press conference.

Imagine getting so worked up about this guy because he said the attacker was a hippy and didn't fit the narrative of a Trumper. Dude is mad about him sharing things about his background of being a hippy and the big lie he said was he didn't live in a commune, but rather, he lived in a bus/van - but isn't sure . No way he's being serious.

GameFace acting like the dude said something so horrible that I'm a disgusting, bad human being.

Dude makes TikTok videos. Again, he's a tiktoker that does hot takes.

Thanks for reminding me not to post anything on politics. People lose their ****ing minds, get so worked up and flex their fake outrage in the name of they're morally better than you.

I hope you come down to earth, dude.
Yeah. Okay. Continue to be the problem and tell yourself it's no big deal.

Being wrong and doing something wrong doesn't make someone a horrible human being. Being wrong, doing something wrong and then being an indignant *** about it, yeah, that does.

Have a nice life Archie.

I think this thread is relevant today. Read what some of the trashiest republicans and posters on this website were saying when Paul Pelosi was nearly killed. If you want empathy, then you need to show empathy.

Republicans dont understand that word bud.
I think they do. They just don’t want to show empathy towards political opponents. They only care about free speech when it means their own speech. When it comes to the free speech of others? They want to shut it down. Which is what the right will do now. They’ll exploit Kirk’s sacrifice for the 2nd amendment as an excuse to shut up critics of this regime.

Could you please quote what you’re referring to? I’ve looked over the thread and I’m not seeing anyone saying 1) they’re happy, 2) they support it, 3) Paul Pelosi deserved it, 4) Paul Pelosi should burn in hell, 5) I’m glad it happened, 6) karma’s a bitch, 7) etc., 8) etc.

Again, if I’ve missed this, please share.

I absolutely hate American politics and the two party system. I hate the media for promoting hate, divide, and weaponizing politics. I hate guns, the unhinged sheepletons that fall for the narratives. I hate living in a country and time where we have life easier than those from the past, but fall to the propaganda of you're either this (good) or that (evil.) I hate people don't have critical thinking skills to know why people think differently than themselves or try to understand it.

Something has got to change.

Guessing it’s staged and they’ll find some patsy to pin it on. Just gives Trumpf more of a reason to militarize this country, declare martial law and cancel midterm elections. He’s already said as much. Yay facism.

Any follow-up to this, @The Thriller ? You’ve drawn attention to “what some of the trashiest republicans and posters on this website were saying when Paul Pelosi was nearly killed” and I’m curious to read them, as you’ve used it as your pretext for “If you want empathy, then you need to show empathy.”

So lets say you have a mentally sick person angry at life. Lets say they think the earth if flat, the cdc is in bed with bill gates and is out to get them with vaccines filled with tracking devices that also are designed to lower the population. They believe jews control space lazers. They think windmills cause cancer. They are afraid of 5g cell phones. They think there is a secret deep state cabal of childrens blood drinking pedophiles. They believe that their neighbors who vote differently than them are anti american socialist marxists. They think their guns are being taken away from them and their children are being forced to become trans (even though neither thing is actually happening to them). They think there was a stolen election. They think trump is an honest, good, kind, compassionate, law abiding, selfless man who cares about his country more than himself. They think that their vehicle that they drive is being taken away from them and they are being forced to drive an electric vehicle. You know, your typical mentally sick person angry at life.

Lets say this mentally sick person angry at life watches tucker carlson and is a huge huge fan who believes everything he says and tucker tells this mentally sick person that democratic politicians are responsible for all of the above. That democrats are intentionally trying to destroy the country and their way of life. That democrats are the enemy. This mentally sick person hears about how nancy pelosi tried to make trump supporters look bad by sending a bunch of antifa agents to storm the capital and terrorize congress on january 6th. Everything is her and the evil democrats fault.

Maybe that mentally sick person angry at life is nudged just enough to take action. IDK

Good one Fish.

Yep. The president just this week was joking around about war and bombing “Democrat cities.”

I’m old enough to remember this dandy from way back in…

Found these on just the first page. Did you skip the first page or does it take something more specific to fit your definitions, none of which were mentioned in the post you quoted by the way.

For some insight on how the rank and file GOP voters are handling this story, I present some texts from a few members of my family:

"The dude swings both ways and had a bone to pick with Paul P. Maybe Paul wasn't paying him enough‍♂️"

"Who was the big dem money guy in California that had young black guys come over for sex and had several OD at his house? These people all run in the same circles. For crying out loud, you have Harvey Weinstein boinking the current Governors wife. These Cali Dems are twisted dude and your thinking it's all some Q anon wound up over who knows."

"I'm guessing all the recent stuff is fake Democrat propaganda - the story got away from them ala Jussie when they didn't scrub his background well enough"

Basically, they believe this was the result of a "grindr date gone wrong" and that the democrats invented the attacker's online persona in an attempt at some kind of october surprise.

They also seem confused about how the attacker got a hammer (really difficult to get your hands on these days I guess). Just very normal reactions to have.

To be clear, your description of "mentally sick" also describes the OathKeepers, the Proud Boys, Utah Senator Mike Lee, Georgia Rep. Green, and a host of other people who have enormous frustation, and continue to direct it at politicians as opposed to employee shortages and supply chain disruptions.

The attacker left behind a politically-motivated explanation of his actions. What does it take for you to think actions are politically motivated?

Otherwise this feels a lot like a straw man argument.

He said “Read what some of the trashiest republicans and posters on this website were saying when Paul Pelosi was nearly killed.” I’m sorry, but none of what is posted above is from “republicans and posters on this website.” This forum is a good microcosm. Can you go find nasty things about any given issue when looking for them? Sure. But… on JFC, can you find a single instance of:

- Celebrating, justifying, or reveling in the death of Minnesota politicians?
- Someone condoning attacks on Paul Pelosi?

You can’t find that on JazzFanz anywhere. @The Thriller assumes it must be there, so he bumps this thread with an allegation. An allegation completely unsubstantiated.
But on JazzFanz, among our very own posters, you will find abundant endorsement of:

- Two assassination attempts on Trump.
- A CEO being murdered on the streets.
- Charlie Kirk being assassinated in Utah.

Today alone from members of this forum, you have the following:

“He wanted a culture war and he got one.”

“thought and prayers lol. Couldn't happen to a nicer person.”

“Political violence will always have its place. I hate Charlie Kirk, he's a hateful man and I'm glad he's dead. It's good for humanity.”

“The far right lost an asset today, that is a win.”

“I wish there was a hell so he could burn there for eternity.”

And many more. Thriller thought something must be true and spoke it. That’s probably a good example of the house of cards he often builds for himself. He’s posted in this thread since and can’t come back and support his comment because he has nothing to support it with. Find me any comments from JazzFanz posters supporting political violence or cheering it on. You start with this thread, as Thriller implied it’s there.

I’ll wait.

Fair point. I know this has nothing to do with your point and admit to totally moving the goal posts but I think there might be a reason for the difference.

I have never seen Paul pelosi or the Minnesota Democrats who were assassinated go around the country picking fights with anyone and everyone and say things like empathy is bad and gun deaths are a fine price to pay to own a gun and use Nazi symbols etc.

Could be that the reaction from some posters was influenced by Kirks own career and the rhetoric that comes with it.

Maybe if the left wing equivalent of Charlie Kirk was killed we would see similar comments. Is there a left wing equivalent to Charlie Kirk?

My bad, I didn't catch the "posters on this board" part of that, skimmed it really, so I took it the wrong way. Largely I agree with you and what you are saying here, as far as the board is concerned mainly because the conservative voices are in the minority and the leftists are emboldened. You have to acknowledge some of the irony in some of this, right? The people preaching 2nd amendment and literally threatening american cities with the new "war department" then being targeted. They are literally calling for war and excusing gun deaths in schools as necessary deaths to protect our rights, somehow, since it is incredibly unclear how the 2nd amendment is protecting anything right now, then some people on the extremes get pushed over the edge and commit atrocities. Democratic senators in Minnesota on a kill list, praised by such Christian stalwarts as Mike Lee for "Nightmare on Waltz Street" and then Charlie Kirk, with similar sentiments being expressed, albeit not by politicians, which is interesting. I would hope we wouldn't so openly praise a killing, of anyone really. So I am sorry I mischaracterized the argument you were making, it felt very pointed and hyperbolic so I reacted in kind. My bad.
