Donald has given up on trying to be the president for all Americans. He’s merely a troll who fires up his own base. This is what happens when you have a structure like the EC. It empowers the minority and permits a president to be a president for 30 percent of the population.

Of course, congress could do a lot to force him to take governing the country more seriously. However, they’re too afraid. They’re afraid of being primaried by a pro Trumper since tye GOP has become Trump’s party. No elected republican dares challenge trump as he’ll endorse their opponent in a primary, Fox News and am radio will attack relentlessly, and that elected republican will find themselves out of a job come primary elections.

Trump wears his *** hole on his sleeve. I don't get why it's so much more upsetting than these liars hiding their *******. Decorum isn't just a public display to me.

I think it matters. I think his lack of decorum is not just a style thing. I think it's a lack of understanding and lack of concern for what his responsibilities are.

I think he has damaged our relationships, not just with our allies, but he has damaged our position with out adversaries.

There have been times when I've though, possibly, his image as an unpredictable actor could break through years of stagnation, especially with North Korea, but it looks like they are just as willing to **** around with him at this point as they have done for forever.

Russia thinks of him as a joke. I mean with or without his participation they unquestionably tried to tilt the election in his favor. They obviously feel we are less of a threat with him as our President.

The China situation is a bit up in the air. This "trade war" hurts the world economy, but it hurts China's economy much more than it hurts the U.S. or the rest of the world. It is something that needed to be addressed. I would have loved a more deliberate and intelligent action, but maybe there isn't one. Maybe Trump's naked approach was the only way to put this **** on the table.

And once he's gone we can repair our relationships with our allies, only they will from now on be concerned with being less dependant on us. Maybe that's good, but maybe it's not. I don't know.

Because he is the most willing to hurt millions of Americans. Because he’s a POS.

Funny you quoted me in this though. Being one of the most anti-pol posters on the site.

And with Trump saying he can just fund the wall by declaring a national Emergency, how can he justify this shutdown? Like you made your point, if you have a rabbit in your hat pull that **** out and let's move the **** on. If this shutdown isn't necessary for Trump to get what he wants then he needs to end the damn shutdown.

On the PBS News Hour last night there was a mom saying her kids aren't going to get indoor soccer this year because of the shutdown. That might sound like nothing, but it's some kids that are going to miss out on healthy activities because of a stupid pissing contest. And that's just one family. Just a few kids. This is hurting thousands of families and many thousands of kids. It's not a game.

And it stretches so much farther than people realize.

Last shut down my agency couldn’t do it’s job. As a result people lost potential jobs, apartments, utilities assistance, schooling opportunities...

The idea of using 'emergency powers' to build the wall is best read as a threat in an attempt to get funding via more conventional means. It's the nuclear option. It's evidence of how weak a position Donald has found himself in. The best way forward for everyone is for Mitch McConnell to come up from whatever hole he's hiding in, and force Trump's hand.

That's fine, but on this one I don't see any difference between Trump upping his public *** hole and the team players being *** holes behind the scenes but acting all prim and proper in public. They're all *** holes playing a game. They don't care about any of us or the good of the nation any more than Trump, in fact probably much less (even if Trump's care is badly misguided). I prefer Trump the honest *** hole to the two faced, lying *** holes in this one.

I quoted you because it was relevant to my thoughts on the matter. DC has been playing this stupid shutdown game continuously for a decade now. So what if Trump is using their tactics against them? He is the figurehead, not the one who created this shutdown nonsense. The RNC and DNC stamps did.

Trump is not honest. And he has no sense of shame to prevent him from lying or even admitting when he has been caught in a lie. No shame, no honor, no dignity and he cares about his image, not our country. That's the difference. It's a huge difference and it matters.

I can't believe you could even bring yourself to type "I prefer Trump the honest *** hole..." That's some absolutely stupid ****. Coming from you makes it far worse.

Why, because I see things differently and have a viewpoint that's different from yours? You're gaining quite the history of shaming anyone and everyone who doesnt see the world through your eyes.

Because Trump lies all the ****ing time. That's not a difference of opinion. That's you calling a ****ing liar "honest" and claiming that's just a difference of opinion.

That's false reality ******** and the fact that you don't know that is sad as ****.

You've let your contempt of Trump get in the way of any reasonable discussion? You really believe Trump isnt honest when he says he doesnt care how long the shutdown lasts? And I'm a dick for preferring that to these assholes grandstanding about ending the shutdown but the ones causing them over and over and over? Ok dude.

Trump's lies can fill libraries. He has zero integrity or any sense of honor or dignity (let's not forget that before he became president, he was seen more as a Kardashian than a Reagan). Obviously his supporters know that. But they don't care, because they have what they consider a more important agenda. And we all know what that is.

Democrats are being petty AF not funding a whole $6 billion. They're retardedly against a wall. The only reason people like zombie have a hardline stance against building one is because Republicans are for it. That's it. Petty AF. Build the damn thing and move on. This wall is our generation's Roe v Wade and it's stupid as hell.

You're not attempting to have a reasonable discussion if you are starting with a claim that Trump is the honest politician.

I'm not going to engage in a debate within your false reality.
