Breaking Bad (thread will have *spoilers*)

Fishon, I can't tell if you are just being obtuse to tease me, or if you really are slow.
You used the word cherry picking yourself. You must be able to see how it applies to this situation.
There are a half dozen examples at least of ad hominem attacks against me in the last 2 pages, rather than anyone making a substantive argument.
I gave 6 examples supporting my side.
You have given just a conclusion with little supporting evidence , and some ad hominem attacks, nothing more.

You and I were having a back and forth discussion with no other posters involved (except for dutch and he dont count)
Then I decided to walk away by saying you were right and I was wrong.
Then I see you saying you were attacked, so logically I assumed you were referring to me since we were the only ones involved in the thread recently.

If I misunderstood and your "attacked" comment was not directed toward me then I apologize

That is mighty diplomatic of you, apology accepted. Perhaps I over-reacted at times. I was responding directly to Dutch primarily, but that post also was meant in response to the totality of posts from 6 different people over several days and pages.
I meant attack , in the sense of discrediting, besmirching my reputation, and ad hominem arguments.

I think Walt sees some of himself in Jesse.
Leaving the poetry book out to be found was a screw up on Walt's part.

@Morfeast each character has a lot more depth then you've been able to google and you keep make assumptions based on the little knowledge you have..... So why you enjoy what you are watching that is great for you, but we know exactly what you are missing and that is why we suggest you start from the begging!!!

Skylar is going off the handle.... "What's one more" and Marie... My gosh what a turn around... I think she plays a big role on the final outcome of the show!!!

Prove it and say something, instead of telling me what to do and how I don't know what I'm talking about. There are 7 people here who haven't said one interesting thing in two weeks. All they want to talk about what they want me to do, or not do, and how I don't know what I'm talking about. I haven't seen any evidence that any one of you has any great insight into the characters more than I can get from watching 5 minutes of highlights.
Prove me wrong , go ahead.

Agreed. After you are so deep in the mud you don't mind the dirt as much. I think Jessie is going to self-destruct somehow. How many think that Walt is somehow going to get away without getting his comeuppance?

I do.

I find myself wondering why I am rooting for Walt instead of Hank. It's the Tony Soprano Syndrome. The characters draw you in and you find yourself rooting for them no matter how bad they are. Maybe I think there is still some goodness in Walt, deep, deep down.

You root for Walt because his intentions at first were good and you could see yourself in the same situation doing what he did...... You then start to justify all the bad things he has done not cause he did it but cause you would also have possibly done them....

Rooting for Walt is rooting for yourself!!!

This is an impossible task. For one, you're not in a position to evaluate what constitutes "great insight" into the characters because you have the least exposure to them. Furthermore, your position is entrenched and you're the least qualified person in the thread to evaluate factual statements about the show. For example, if I told you that shot's of Gale's apartment in Season Three suggest deep connections with Gus Fring going back to South American roots and potential shared interests in Marxist philosophy and lite-opera patter songs, you have no idea if I'm feeding you a line of ******** or not.

If I talk to you about significance of Marie's color palette in recent episodes you don't have a lot to compare that too. You've only watched those recent episodes.

Are you even entirely sure why Jesse is so upset about Brock?

I understand you think you know enough and that's fine. Totally your call. But the reaction of other posters exists because it's almost like having a blind man insist to you he understands the color orange as well as you do.

I'm not rooting for Walt at all. I've been rooting for Hank ever since he yelled at Marie for calling his minerals "rocks."
