Maybe it's sad, but Vegas is now Boise's best case scenario. You say you want them in a bowl against a Big 12 or SEC team, but which Bowl would that be? From what I understand, contractual agreements would make it impossible for Boise to go to say the Cotton, Peach or Capital One Bowl (just using those 3 as examples).

If they wanted to play in a "big" bowl, they should have taken care of business against Nevada. I don't feel like they're getting jipped at all.

You just might be right.

Also, you might be right about Boise just bummed to be in a crappy bowl. I don't see it with Moore as QB, that kid is a stud. But it could happen.

I really do feel that Nevada and Boise could compete with a lot of the well known teams in college Football. Boise especially. But that Nevada team rolled all over BYU in Provo and beat Boise. Had they not had a hiccup against Hawaii in Hawaii (can be tough to play there), they might be cracking the BCS.

Overall, the MWC was average. A lot of decent teams. But the WAC might have just had two teams that could have competed well against TCU.

It's too bad that Boise might be relegated to the vegas dump bowl and Nevada won't be able to flex its muscles against a Big school.

Who knows what will happen though....

The information is from a combination of Brandon Doman, Chris Hill, Utes O-lineman, and Wynn in some class he has at school.

About a month ago the OC for Tampa Bay told me Kellen Winslow was going into rehab and could barely walk besides and they were going to dump him. This was on a Friday. Kellen Winslow then preceded to go out and have a huge game and has yet to enter rehab or be dropped.

People in position to know talk and I'm passing it along. Thought it was interesting stuff. LOL at the junior high mentality of some folks in here.

Also of note is that McCoy Hill owes me lunch after I destroyed him in the fade drill yesterday. I'm so cool!!!!!!

I've been thinking of posting this but haven't cause well mostly I'm lazy but as well as Wynn has played like poop this past month and not as most had hoped or expected overall this season. My attitude though is it's ok for us U fans to bag on him but the other fans is getting a bit too much so here is a reminder what a certain Senior QB but up last year in a squeaker and Wynn's last year:

Hall,Max 12-32-0 134yrd 2TD 4Sacks VS. Wynn, Jordan 21-41-1 198yrd 0TD 2Sacks

Here is Wynn's stats this year:

Wynn, Jordan 13-30-1 199yrd 1TD 1Sacks

I'm not here to talk trash or much even stick up for Wynn just relaying some facts, Wynn's numbers aren't that good in either rivalry game but they're both better then Hall's and the only common theme is the QB with the better stats lost the game in both the last 2 years as obviously Heaps had better stats then Wynn (or Hall for that matter).

Hall couldn't have one bad game that year (excluding TCU of course. TCU killed everyone)?

Compare that with Wynn's one good game against Cal?

Sounds like a stretch for a Wynn apologist.

If you want to compare big games that year, look @ what Hall did against OU. 329 passing yards against a highly touted Sooner defense. And I'm not even that big of a Max Hall fan. I do think he turned the ball over and held onto the ball waaaaayyyyy too long. That's what really hurt him in Arizona.

I quit trying to talk some sense into some of you. Jeez. Some of you are so blinded by your homerism that you still:

A. Feel like Utah should be playing against Oregon in the championship.
B. Utah killed BYU even though they barely squeaked by Bronco's WORST team at home against a freshmen qb injured.
C. STTTTTTTILLLLLLLLL believe in Wynn when everyone else sees that the kid just isn't a leader, a gamer, a tough guy, or the QB of the future.

I guess it's normal when you're a complete homer. There are still people who feel that CJ Miles is going to be Ray Allen, just give him more time.... I've said it before and I'll say it again, Utes aren't going to be more than an average Pac-10 team until they find a replacement for Wynn. True, they might beat Colorado, Wash St, and maybe Cal. But the rest of the Pac-10 is going to eat them alive with Wynn throwing 2-3 picks per game.

Unfortunately, you won't have an official to give you the ball despite seeing overwhelming replay evidence to show that the player's knee was down.

I'm not a big fan of judging a player just on one game. There's no question Ute staff is nervous about Wynn and the BYU game is just a small piece of that. If you are a Ute fan you shouldn't be happy with Wynn either. Not to say he couldn't improve and win people over but he definitely is not there now. You can only use the word potential for so long. The kid just has zero grit.

That's the best thing about the game for me is that here is Heaps as a freshman in a huge game. He's injured early on and things are coming at him fast. But he tells Doman there's no way he's coming out of the game. He's a gamer. The big arm and all that is nice but if you don't have grit as a QB go play WR or something.

Where is this overwhelming evidence? I know you tend to pull stuff out of your ***, so I guess this is more of the same for you. If you have overwhelming evidence that it wasn't a fumble, lets see it.

Here is a reality check for you, taken from the Deseret News here:

There is still daylight under his butt. His knee might be down, might not be. The ball is clearly out though, and appears to have been out for at least several frames before this pic. It's not in the process of being ripped out, it's not on its way out, it's not about to be ripped out- it's gone.

I can look at that pic and think, "The ball likely started coming out before that knee touched the ground. His butt is still in the air and the knee is only about halfway down, but the ball is already all the way out."

Now, again, if you have overwhelming evidence showing the knee down BEFORE THE BALL STARTED COMING OUT, then lets see it. We know you were just pulling stuff out of your *** though.

Thanks Salty.

One snapshot for a play of seconds really tells me everything necessary.

Instead of having video replay, lets just snap a picture as Salty just did.

Oh, and Wynn is amazing. Man, he's the next Joe Montana.

You're the one that said there was overwhelming evidence that he was down. Lets see it. Oh right, you made it up.

That snapshot actually shows more than the video replays we saw on tv. I never saw the ball and his knee in the same shot on tv.

And Jordan Wynn may not be that great, but keep it in perspective. He has started roughly the same amount of games as Jake Heaps in his college career so far. This game was by far his worst game. He was so bad he got benched in this game. And at the the end of the day, his stats were not much worse than what Jake Heaps ended up with. And now we're getting word that Wynn was not only injured, but has been injured for a while.

And stop with the BS that Wynn has never played well (or only in 1 game). He played well all year up until the 4th quarter against Air Force.

By the way, The Thriller is right- Boise State is likely going to the Vegas Bowl. And if it's not Boise State, it is guaranteed to be Nevada.

The reason is the Vegas Bowl is bigger and pays more than any of the bowls the WAC is contracted with. Not only that, but ESPN owns the Vegas Bowl, owns the New Mexico Bowl, and has a lot of influence on the Fight Hunger Bowl. So they can (and did) release the WAC from the New Mexico Bowl agreement for this year, and invite a WAC team to the Vegas Bowl.

The only holdup is if there is still a minute possibility of Boise State going to a BCS game. We know it won't happen, but it's still technically possible. So we have to wait for it to be impossible before we get Boise to commit to the Vegas Bowl.

Supposedly there will be an announcement later tonight of either Nevada or Boise accepting an invitation to play Utah in the Vegas Bowl.

I'm surprised nobody in this thread knew about this. We've (my friends and me) been talking about this for several days. It's been all over utefans.net too for several days. If it just hit the radio yesterday, then they were late with it. There was an article on ESPN about it and an article in the Vegas paper several days ago (the day after Utah accepted a bid to the Vegas Bowl).
