CHICAGO BULLS v. UTAH JAZZ 7:00 MST 09 February 2010

BS it was a bad pass

wtf is deron running a pick-and-roll with jefferson beyond the 3pt line? is jefferson going to bomb a three? or bob, and weave, and take 3 dribbles to the basket? worst play ever by deron... until a few seconds later, anyway.

we can only hope he is mad and comes out more focused and aggressive against ths Suns.

Honestly, I don't know where Williams is mentally right now. He could just as easily pack it in due to injury and keep blaming the team for our woes.

I got news for you guys, the Suns are going to destroy us. TWICE. Nash = White Rose plus a hell of a lot better FG% and FT%%%

Between Sloanfeld and Harpring, I had to close out Jazzfanz and mute the game. Throw in a loss, watching Korver put us away, stupid turnovers, and no mayo for my burger - tonight was frustrating.

Korver wouldn't have put us away if Raja would have done the one thing he was on the court to do. The stupidest play of the game besides the turnovers down the stretch was Raja somehow straight up losing Korver so bad that he set his feet, and calmly hit nothing but net.

Korver, Brewer and Watson individually outscored Utah's bench. The other two bench players had 4 a piece, one point short of our entire bench. The Bulls won the game shooting 39%.

He was open because Raja flopped on the play. I'm okay with Raja flopping through the first 3 qtrs because (as we saw w/JR Smith) it can get into players' minds, but with the game on the line you have to bring it - you can't flop and expect the officials to bail you out. A guy with the reputation as a 'flopper' flopping in crunchtime - only Derek Fisher can get that call.

"Sloanfeld" your boy-toy Booze got owned by not 1, but 2 of our starting big men. In fact the two men who replaced him. So you should take your little crush over to people who give-a-**** (a Bulls board, maybe?) or get off his ****. Jesus.

All the ultimate doomsayers, you gotta realize, we looked like a completely even matched if not better team for a lot of the game. We just blew it. Granted the refs did pick on Kurt Thomas a little bit, but I gotta say, that game was ours.

At least Big Al is just getting better and better... Millsap is fouling at a rookie like rate these days which is another cause for concern

Free throws and bench "effort" played more of a factor than Williams's mind melt in the final few possessions. This team just isn't very good.

The picture of Millsap and Jefferson double-stuffing Boozer would've been really sweet if the Jazz didn't just take a **** all over themselves the last two minutes of the game.

Korver telling the Bulls exactly what the Jazz run on the last play leading to a DWill TO.

JSlo didn't have anything else to run?

nevermind dumb question.

which is why they should've just run it up after the FT make. even so, Deron got an open look on the inbound pass and for no good reason didn't shoot. he was the only three point shooter the Jazz had out there, unless you want to count Bell (i don't).

mistakes by Deron in the final minute: swiped by Rose, started the PNR too far out, bungled the pass, passed up the open three, and blew the pass to Bell. what else did i miss?

Watched only the second half. FT shooting and rebounding in second half were key but I have never seen Deron this bad, he just struggles to run, has no speed, momentum or quickness. Wrist injury will continue bothering him all year long, unfortunately. DRose took advantage of it and he was phenomenal. He shoots too much for a PG and I'm still not sold on his PG skills, he is yet to figure out that this game is played 5-on-5, but he is a legit MVP candidate. His role is carrying the Bulls team and he somehow have managed to do it, greatly. FYI, I, personally, would rather have Deron or Westbrook.

We saw what Carlosina is all about. The Jazz showed the entire league how to make him a high-arching, fadeaway J shooter. I'm proud of the way Millsap and Jefferson played, they tried to PLAY DEFENSE (not fake effort or trying steals instead of manning up and defending the paint and the man first) AND they had a field day offensively, which is never surprising against a non-existent (defender) Carlos. I watched last 5-6 games of Bulls and saw Alridge and Blazer bigs abusing Boozer down low and Howard going off (unbelievably easily) when he matched with Boozer.

I like the fan reaction about my man Omer. He is a defensive specialist and despite starting playing the game of basketball at relatively an old age, he has imporved quickly and vastly. He protects the painted area as well as anybody and playing Euro basketball helped him LEARN some basic fundamentals and some key skills that we rarely see in players in the NBA, like help&recover , very important quality for a big man. Coach Thibs knows that anybody is an upgrade over Carlos on defensive end and ASik is an huge upgrade over any Bulls big you can name. However, his offensive game is very limited. In order for him to stay and get consistent PT in NBA, he has to add a couple of offensive moves to his game. I hope he is working hard and aiming at staying there instead of backing off of challenge.

The Jazz, despite their leader playing hurt and awful, played a solid game and a little better FT shooting could have brought the W. Bulls are a mediocre offensive team and the Jazz played stellar defense. However, the execution at the end of ballgame was terrible and leaves me wondering how in the hell they cannot improve offensively after playing these many games. THe floor spacing still continues to hurt the Jazz, still no adjustment have made. Raja has been consistent hitting outside shots recently but can he be counted on all season? Does he get the respect and attention of the defenses as much as CJ, Kyle, or comparing to last year, Memo would get? I really admire the job Thibs has done on defensive end; you have a matador, lazy, stupid defender in Carlos at 4 and you lose your emotional leader, the man in the middle, Noah to an injury, yet you have managed to be one of the defensive teams in the NBA.

I wish there was a chance of Jazz vs Bulls matchup early in the playoffs.

Two games in a row now, Westbrook and Rose have destroyed DWill, not used to seeing that very frustrating to watch even if DWill is nursing a hurt shooting wrist.

Also DWill and AJ had several nice plays in the 4th and your right Sloany for one of the few times this season but I'm sure it had nothing to do with the defense of a certain big man.

Also Jazz had several clutch blocks late in the game by AJ & AK

Why does this sloanfield guy spend so much time on a utah jazz website when he clearly isn't even a fan? what a wierd dude.

I remember at the start of the season being ridiculed for placing Rose ahead of Dwill on my list of top players. Hmmmmm....

I think it's plenty obvious that this team needs some help at the SG/SF position. Right now we don't have a SF/SG that could start for many teams.

You know Williams is playing with an injury that would sideline most players in the league, right?

Watched only the second half.

Duh.

Jazz are pretty much the worst team in the league in first half.

Ok, IDK about 2nd quarter.

Worst team in NBA in 1st quarter. ( yep, worse than Cleveland)

I record the games by 1st half, then 2nd half.

Automatically erase 1st half.

I enjoyed watching a Jazz game. Maybe terrible first halves theory explains why. The solution to the 1st half issues is all about players' committing themselves to the system, trusting in the offensive execution.
