Some serious over reactions going on right now. Boogie slows them down - especially if he struggles to get back to his previous ability. Think he’ll quietly sit back and let Jordan Bell take his critical minutes? Don’t think so.
The roster as a whole, sure. But moves like this would and will happen.
It will make it even better if they lose.
Unless they took less money.

but how much less? If there is a hard cap no way that GSW roster is intact this long. Durrant took less to stay but would he have taken 15M a year less?

Cousins hasnt helped a team win in his career. He's an overweight man child who uses possessions inefficiently and is coming off the worst injury in basketball.
Further this actually helps the Jazz matchup with Golden State. Jazz have always guarded Cousins well. He's also a fat lazy turd on defense WHEN NOT HAVING A RECENTLY TORN ACHILLES. I imagine that won't get much better.

This just proves NBA fans are nihilistic masochists who want to complain about anything involving the Warriors. The guy is hardly going to play this year and they won't have his bird rights. So if he's actually good, he has to get paid somewhere else.

He has only made them worse. He contributed heavily to the Kings being a pile of trash for 7+ years. He also made the Pelicans worse.

I might be wrong. He could be amazing on Golden State, but the history of achilles surgery says he will barely play at all this year and if he does, he will be a shell of himself (which is a guy who has never helped a team be better). They don't have bird rights, so this is a 1 year thing. The Warriors honestly did this solely just for the reaction of dumb fans on twitter.

It's not just DeMarcus Cousins. It's these superstars all joining together and leaving small market teams that did everything they could to keep them.
Hayward, George-leaving Indiana, Durrant, Chris Paul- Pericans, Deron Williams, Crymello, Shaq, Lebron, ect..

Put up or shut up. The Jazz were a better shooting Rubio (to start the season) and a healthy Gobert away from being one of the top 3 teams in the league. They’ve given themselves a chance to keep everyone from that team and possibly improve if a good deal comes around.
Quit crying about Golden State and figure out how to beat them. Become the Giant Slayers. Houston was a healthy Chris Paul away from doing exactly that.

Achilles injuries(like most injuries) are certainly tougher on older athletes. Not trying to downplay it as it will have a effect on him but Cousins is only 27, he still has hope. For a guy who's done a lot of head scratching things on the basketball court this might actually be the smartest thing he has done. He can take as much time to recover and be just used as a role player seeing limited time on a team already stacked with talent. Not a whole lot will be asked of him this season and hell still end the season with a ring.
Oh shut up. Fans can fan however they want.
