Ha. I wish.HH finally gettin his front office job.
Wasn't JZ the one who called Doke "the best player available" when we drafted him last year? Whoever the new GM is, he gotta be a new guy with new vision and new ideas, not DL's sidekickWe don’t know really. JZ may have had ideas and deals that DL passed on. There seemed to be some minor differences when JZ took a bigger role. Namely we actually used some second round picks on players instead of trading them for cash or taking some guy with no chance of playing nba basketball.
I am an in an unpaid unofficial advisory role.HH finally gettin his front office job.
Or Shane Battier. DL is doing exactly what KOC at the end of his tenure. Not surprised since DL has been pretty quiet lately. This is good news. Advisory roles at Fortune 500 companies basically is a way of keeping people aboard with next to no responsibility.
Say hello to Danny Ainge, your new EVP.
KOC was much older and had occupied the role for like 16-17 years, then hired DL a year before he left. DL is still young and very much intending on being in the game and will serve as an advisor until he gets another gig. DL leaves after like only 7 years as the head guy after he grabbed the #1 seed and after a new ownership group just took over. This isn’t early career (executive wise) GM deciding to ride off into the sunset. This is a guy in what essentially is an executive’s early prime.Or Shane Battier. They likely neutered him so he will participate in the offseason but isn’t calling the shots... he takes the Houston job or some other gig when it opens up.KOC was much older and had occupied the role for like 16-17 years, then hired DL a year before he left.
