Right?!? I mean, remember that time when Fox News made Biden get up on a blood red stage flanked by soldiers and threaten half the nation with clenched fists?
I'm sure you remember it that way. Scared little white men have such delicate feelings.

...And Fox News having Biden use his DOJ to label concerned parents at school board meetings as terrorists so they could use the provisions of the Patriot Act to silence them.
Actually, it was the non-parents at the meeting who were making threats that the DoJ was concerned about.

The part I find most amusing is the total lack of self awareness from you and The Thriller. You condemn Fox News for promoting civil war in a post immediately after The Thriller was promoting civil war.
I much as I dislike @The Thriller 's balck-and-white mentality, he has never called for civil war, and certainly not in the post before Red's. Identification is not support. That's your fear talking.

First, I did not read the comment by Thriller. Second, having now gone back and read it, I don’t believe he was PROMOTING a civil war, but observing that we are presently involved in a “soft civil war”. Do you believe that’s the same thing as saying, “yay, a civil war, let’s go, yeah, let’s do it!”. Because that would be PROMOTING a civil war. I might in fact agree with him about a “soft civil war”. Certainly the culture wars have a “civil war” feel to it. DeSantis seems to be focused on the culture wars in his campaign for the Republican nomination. So yeah, we really are at one another’s throats on many cultural issues.

But, clearly, neither the Thriller, nor myself, are promoting, or advocating for a civil war. Are you?? Maybe you’re issuing a call for civil war?

I did feel the Fox News chyron was much closer to actual PROMOTION: “wannabe dictator speaks at the White House after having his political rival arrested”. Now, that is straight out identifying the current president of the United States as a wannabe dictator. If that’s not identifying our president as the enemy of our nation, what is?

That’s Fox News telling its viewers that the president is your enemy, and the enemy of your democracy. After a grand jury, not President Biden, indicted Trump. Why not also tell their viewers to take the 20-30 minutes it takes to actually read the indictment?

If you cannot tell the difference between that chyron and Thriller opining that we are already in a soft civil war, which is not the same thing as a Thriller “civil war call to arms” promotion, then you’re not very bright.

By that measure, neither was Fox News promoting civil war. I personally believe we should lower the temperature a bit. Both the take of Fox News and The Thriller are bordering on the ridiculous. I don't like Joe Biden, but he isn't a dictator. I disagree strongly with the mentality of many still supporting Donald Trump, but I take issue with the incredibly broad brush The Thriller is using to tar people with the ugliest parts of his imagination. My comment was intended to bring focus to Red and The Thriller being pots calling the kettle black. That is an observation I stand behind. Those two are every bit the material they lampoon but on the other side, and neither seem to express any self awareness.

I'd say it was Fox News identifying characteristics in Biden that are congruent with the characteristics of dictators. They didn't say that he was a dictator, only that he was a wannabe dictator. However I think you took it a step further all on your own. Fox News didn't seem to be promoting an overthrow of the government with their observation. You read that in all on your own. You are seeing what you want to see, and what you want to see seems to be the same thing you are condemning Fox News for wanting to see. I feel that you are shouting at your own reflection.

I see a sizable distinction in their posting (Red is much more reasonable and measured), but otherwise agree.

The cameras that were there also seem to remember it that way. It was quite a look.

I believe that law enforcement is a frighteningly powerful apparatus. It becomes downright terrifying when it appears that it is being used not to enforce laws but to enforce ideology, that the laws are only the pretext being used to prosecute political enemies. Trump should be prosecuted for his mishandling of classified information and his obstruction during the investigation of his handling of classified information. Hillary should be prosecuted for her mishandling of classified information and her obstruction during the investigation of her handling of classified information. Consistent application. Equal protection.

We no longer have that. The DOJ is putting their thumb on the scale when deciding who should be prosecuted. It is no longer about likelihood of conviction and public interest. There is now a clear political bias. There is simply no other way to explain Hunter Biden. Prosecution of Hunter Biden would be a slam dunk and he is not a public servant. The law enforcement of the United States government is not prosecuting Hunter Biden because he is politically protected and above the law. So is Hillary. There is no one on the political right that you can say that same thing about.
I bet you hold this same energy when black people are selectively prosecuted and convicted at higher rates in addition to being handed comparatively harsher punishments for the same crime.

You'd lose that bet. It is worth noting that disparity has greatly evaporated over the past decade. Nearly all of the race hustlers still pushing that narrative point to statistics from decades ago.

"Decades of sentencing data from Minnesota, the federal courts, and a sample of large urban counties are used to assess the degree of change in racial and ethnic sentencing disparities since the 1980s. There has been some decline in the magnitude of racial and ethnic disparities, with changes in drug laws aligning with some of the reduction in disparity at the federal level."

"We find criminal history scores rose sharply, but prison use and racial disparities therein fell markedly in the past decade."

However if you want to see a real statistical disparity that dwarfs the racial disparity in sentencing even from 50 or 100 years ago, then you should check into the gender disparity in sentencing. Even today, the sentencing difference between men and women who are in similar situations and convicted of identical crimes is on-average a 63% harsher sentence for the male offender.

I did lose. You definitely don't hold the same energy. I guess AI only gets noisy when Republicans are held accountable(a little bit).

I've never seen blood of that color, that's the backdrop, and I don't see any threats.

So I want to say this plain and simple: There is no place for political violence in America. Period. None. Ever.

Further, he's so tolerant of discourse that he let himself be heckled throughout the speech, never asking that the heckler be silenced.

There was nothing to be scared of.
