The majority of people still believe Ben Simmons is ROTY and its not close.
This may have been true months ago, but I don't know where you're getting this info now. There is a poll on realgm that has them neck and neck. Mitchell was actually leading for a while too, so it's been quite a while since Simmons was running away with it.

That's partly what would make a dunk like that awesome. I'm definitely looking forward to it. Mitchell deserves this. He's going to impress, and I hope he wins.Lmao. Stockton would feel like a fish out of water in a setting like that

It's not like he'll be doing something that he doesn't already do.I dunno, is 2 weeks enough to prepare all the dunks for the comp though? It's pretty short notice...
There will be a lot of people rooting for nance as his daddy is one of the best dunkers in NBA history. So it's Mitchell, Dennis Smith Jr., Larry Nance Jr., and who is the 4th guy again?
Edit: Victor Oladipo. So there are 3 guys who are about the same size and same type of athletes. Going to be interesting.

I remember. I'll bet they put in a couple hours of work at most. Not weeks worth.Really? Remember Air Gordon's duel with Zach Lavine? Gordon prepared some amazing dunks he did in corporation with Stuff the Mascot.

Earlier this season I didn't want him to for a few reasons, 1 being I thought maybe he was one of those that are a "in game" dunker and not a dunk contest dunker but that may no longer be true.
Other reasons are purely selfish, like letting him rest and get a break from the long season, let him stay the Jazz' little secret, let him grow that chip on his shoulder by getting snubbed, keep him off the radar so people don't try to steal him away.... However all those aren't realistic and as I said just my personal hangups.
For him I am happy as he seemed genuinely excited and if it helps him get ROY even better.
He’s not going to ever go unnoticed by other teams GMs. This is the best you can hope for as a small market is that Donovan exceeds and does as well as possible here so he doesn’t feel like he’s constantly getting snubbed for the fact he does play here. Oh I was meaning it as I used to feel this way, I do not any longer and agree there are far more pros than cons and you can't live in fear or "what if's".OK, but one could argue by giving him more exposure it's great marketing for FA's to want to sign with the Jazz during the offseason.
I'd say let him do as much as he's comfortable and let the chips fall where they may.
Exactly. This is a lot of exposure for him if he does well. I don't think it helps us on court at all. Might even hurt us a bit if he is focused on practicing for this. I want him to see that if he does great things he can have everything he wants right here.

Also growing up my favorite dunker was also a 2 footed jumper, The Human Highlight Film, Dominique Wilkins. He was a better dunker IMO than Jordan and was robbed in CHI due to home court advantage.
*edit*
Also Oneye, I agree he has that flashy but yet quick and powerful finish at the rim, sorta similar to like 'Nique had, where it almost seems like he's punishing the rim with his throw downs.
