God and Country

I've said this many times before, but I'll keep saying it every chance I can. They could end homelessness +5 times over in the US for the amount of taxpayer money sent to be laundered in Ukraine. Neither republican or democrat leaders give a **** about Americans, and you'd need to be a total clown to believe otherwise.
Probably not end it but could most definitely help those that actually wanted the help. Like our veterans who suffer and the mentally ill that need the help. Sadly places like California literally hand out drug kits and provide safe spaces for drug use. Oregon decriminalized hardcore drugs and it has majorly backfired. The left decriminalizes everything and enable these poor people to suffer. At the same time many like to be homeless.

You're right though, neither party really gives a ****. Republicans just don't enable it.

Yes, I believe white Christian Americans can do a helluva lot more to make their communities better instead of focusing on excusing Trump and promoting Christian nationalism.

When Christ asked us to take care of the poor and less fortunate, I guess I thought he meant that literally. Yes, I believe white Christians should do much more to help our country be more fair and equitable, promoting justice for minorities that for hundreds of years haven’t been given justice. Crazy concept, right?
What do you do?

Notice how the hatred has just ever so suddenly went from hating Christian Nationalist because they vote differently, to now openly hating all white Christians? This is what the Democratic party has historically done. They start small with "Christian Nationalist" but that hate quickly balloons from a small group that votes differently to a much larger population. It's a very sneaky way to spread vileness and sheer disgusting hatred without notice. It's like the frog in boiling water analogy. Start off with cold water (hatefully calling people nationalist) and get generally hotter and hotter as time progresses. Eventually it's too late for the frog/Christians.. The water is only lukewarm right now as far as Christianity with some Democrats. Scary enough It's starting a small boil against the Jews sadly. Hating Christians off of conspiracies, staying silent when people march against Jews and shut down their lives in fear

I'm not pointing at all Democrats but there is big faction of this in that party as we see. The attempt to hide it is somewhat gone as we are seeing it right in front of our faces.

It’s a cult… You can’t deviate from the prescribed narrative or you are a trumper maga. You aren’t allowed to have opinions outside of the ideology or you are smeared and labeled a conspiracy theorist or a racist. If trump says the sky is blue and water is wet you must oppose it. You must not think for yourself or god forbid ask any questions. People are leaving the cult though, it’s eating itself.

It's more than a cult.... Much more dangerous and hate filled.

Trump has a rally of over 100,000 people from blue states and no sight of Christian Nationalist doing bad things outside of calling a fat *** Chris Christie a fat *** which is spot on. It was all just people that love America many who are Christian being good people as most of us are. Yet we get villainized over bat **** crazy conspiracies that you guys push and sheer bigotry. Very hateful things are said just because people vote for Trump and read the Bible and nothing more.

Meanwhile Democrats have to digitally do parts of their DNC in fear of the Alt-Left Democrats rioting and being violent over their hatred of Jews and hatred toward Christians.... This is a Democrat city. We can't even have graduation ceremonies in fear of Democrats and their bat **** crazy conspiracies that we see pushed.

Not a damn word... @Red @fishonjazz @The Thriller @LogGrad98 it's extremely insulting that you call me the threat to Democracy.

“It would prefer no chaplains in schools, it says, but would settle for equal representation, intentionally goading conservatives, some of whom are explicit about wanting Christianity, rather than just religion, in public education.

“If they pass these bills, they’re going to have to contend with ministers of Satan acting as chaplains within their school districts,” said Lucien Greaves, a co-founder of the Satanic Temple, who uses a pseudonym to protect him against threats. “We think the public should know in advance that that’s what the outcome of these bills can be.”The Satanic Temple, founded in 2013 and recognized as a religion by the IRS, is known for trolling the religious right by taking advantage of Christian campaigns. When Arkansas installed a statue of the Ten Commandments outside the State Capitol, the Temple unveiled its own statue of Baphomet, a goat-headed figure, there, too. It offered the Hellions Academy as an alternative to Christian studies during school hours and named a telehealth abortion clinicafter Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito’s mom.

The Temple believes in reason, empathy and the pursuit of knowledge, its website FAQ helpfully explains. And it doesn’t worship Satan. “Satan is a symbol of the Eternal Rebel in opposition to arbitrary authority,” it states. But it’s not just a joke, supporters say. And opponents seem to agree”.

"NAEP assessments are administered to students in traditional public, charter, private, and Catholic schools. Overall, the nation’s students experienced across-the-board score declines on the 2022 NAEP reading and math assessments, however that wasn’t the case for Catholic schools. "

As I have pointed out many times, only 1-in-3 sixth grade students in Utah's public schools can do basic math. The response I get is always to make excuses. Everyone seems to think having an incompetent population is fine and no changes should be made because excuse. I will continue to hammer this because I don't think it is fine. I don't think it is an acceptable level of performance, and I'm open to trying crazy things like seeing what happens when you nudge a public school to act more like a Catholic school that routinely achieves superior results.

What's really dumb about all this is that things like statues of the 10 commandments show just how selective and arbitrary Christianity is. Why don't they have a statue of the rules for owning slaves from the old testament? Selective belief in arbitrary "rules" is ludicrous. And foisting it all on everyone regardless of their beliefs is nothing short of tyrannical. But it's a good thing they preach tolerance, as long as it's about tolerating the right people, I guess.

Reading through this thread is like watching a reenactment of the sequel to the wizard of oz. One of the if not the most moronically crazy movies I’ve ever seen. As a kid it was traumatizing.

That makes sense. It's a thread about religion at it's root. Religion is nonsensical weird fantasy just like wizard of oz

I'm thinking you missed the message of Wizard of Oz. It was an allegory/satire opposed to the adoption of greenback fiat currency. They way out of the chaos was to follow the yellow brick road (gold) in the land of Oz (unit of measure for gold). The American people (Dorothy) travel with the agriculture sector (Scarecrow), the industrial sector (Tin Man), and the military sector (Cowardly Lion) to green city to end up proving the power everyone thought it held was based on nothing and manipulated by charlatans. The true power was in the shoes on Dorothy's feet, which in the book are silver.
