Hayward getting extension???

Hayward's first step, strength, quickness and finishing ability are why he's not an effective scorer off the dribble. Even with his somewhat high dribble, he does a decent job protecting the ball.

Horrible list. Do you even watch teams other than the Jazz?

A lot. Like A LOT. But since you didn't say anything specific I don't have anything to respond to.

I don't agree with Batum, DeRozan, Lee, Randolph and Gallinari being a bad deals. They are at least fair and actually I think DeRozan is good deal for Raptors. Bosh is bad deal IMHO and same with Pekovic, he got overpaid badly.

In other words I rated 80+ deals and you largely agree with the other 90%. That's fine. Like I said, reasonable people could disagree.

Batum has like $33 million coming over the next three seasons. Based on his production and league average PER that's probably $9-10 million too high total in my estimation. But it's debatable.

DeRozan sucks. David Lee actually makes the Warriors worse when he's on the court. Randolph is debatable but I think he's being paid as if he's a perennial ALL-NBA contender when he's actually simply a borderline-allstar. Gallinari is a purported shooting specialist that shoots 42% from the field. Bosh gets judged as "fair" because he's a package deal with the best contract in the NBA and contributed to winning two championships. Miami got what they paid for. My opinion of Pekovich is probably higher than average.

In other words: Hayward's not a good scorer off the dribble because of everything observable about Gordon Hayward. :)

I think we will see an increase in his strength this year. He looks pretty damn ripped.

More or less. I was responding to the discussion about his "handle"...who the **** cares how tight your handle is if you're 3'7'' and blind?

I think your scale is off- Lebron is worth 40 mil a year. But he can't be paid that much so it throws the whole thing out of whack.

I don't see how it could be a richer deal than Favors. I think Lindsay is smarter than offering Hayward a max deal and I think favors would command more on the open market than Hayward would, as agile, rim protectors that can play the 4 or 5 with some offense are very rare. Maybe the richer part comes from a year longer, like a 5yr/ $50m with the fifth year being a player option.

I agree, Lindsay is always talking about team flexibility and giving the max to Hayward would take a lot of that away.

He's deceptively athletic.
