Karl Malone's take on all of this......?

You flaunt your degenerate thinking in our face. The sexual preferences would be less offensive.

what is degenerate about my view on suicide.

lets blame everyone but the guy taking his own live.
isnt that what is wrong with the world?

blaming everyone except the person carrying most of the responsibility?

please enlighten me. why it is degenerate to blame the weakness of the guy who commits the sin.

so if i sin i get to blame others?
trust me there are a lot of others to blame for my sin(s)

carolinajazz was on JazzFanz back in 1998.

.....yeah, those were the good old days! Stockton to Malone, 55-60 win seasons! Kicking the Lakers butts all over the court! Back in those days, men were men, women were women, bull's were bull's......and Roosters didn't try an lay eggs!

You flaunt your degenerate thinking in our face. The sexual preferences would be less offensive.

and why don't the aprents get any blame for their kids commiting suicide.
they are just bad parents.
i dont have any children yet. so dont know if i will be a bad parent or not.

but my parents always knew what was going on in our lives. one way or another it was like they had magical powers. and they would talk to us.

My money comes from an IT job and teaching math part-time, neither of which requires any commitment to progressive values.

GWB would say his money comes from his business interests, and all the same draws from the same river of influence. The indoctrination and cultural immersion in the progressive mind is pretty universal, and people who start to make waves just do not get the benefit of the doubt. People question their sanity, call them malicious and hateful things, and exclude them from "fine society", and when layoffs come they're the ones that go first.

I don't believe a public school teacher can keep his job and not be cool with the progressive culture and program. George Bush couldn't have been President, especially while pretending to be "conservative", without actually being a pretty smart player who was doing the right things to move the progressive cause towards its ultimate goals, incremental and gradual though that path has generally been.

It shocks me that

Dutchjazzer and CarolinaJazz have any rep points.

Although I am pretty convinced that CJ is just a troll who is using one of his many duplicate accounts, probably the same person who was aintnuthin.

I'm pretty convinced they are different persons in fact. I've heard this suspicion before, but I've talked to ain't enough, and looked for indications of sameness, and still just don't buy this charge.

Being shocked that persons with different ideas than yours could get any rep points might suggest you live in a smaller sort of bubble, insulated from the larger reality. CJ has in my observation taken quite a lot of neg reps, which only proves to me that there are some folks pretty dedicated to purging society of people who are "different" somehow. Looking at who the neggers are, from indications like this. . . .. public whines might correlate to private neg rep. . . . I am only a little disappointed to see that some people who are pretty sensitive about personal criticisms against themselves just don't really get the idea of tolerance.

tolerance is a two way street pretty much. The more you give it, the more you will get it.

....here's a real dozy for ya! ESPN is now reporting that Vince Lombardi, the rule with an iron fist NFL football coach, had a gay brother and was a "champion" for gay rights or at least sympathetic to there cause/lifestyle! Yep! Gay rights was "right in Lombardi's wheelhouse" according to this report! Don't know about some of the players on those Packer teams he coached, like Jim Taylor and Ray Nitschke or even Bart Star, but evidently Vince's brother had his unconditional love and support. Interesting side note to this article/link was the report that Dave Kopay said he had a relationship with Washington tight end, Jerry Smith, who died of complications from AIDS in 1986. Don't know how much was embellished in this article but I for one, would have thought rather than congratulating Jason Collins had he been alive today, he would have "rolled over in his grave" instead!

I wonder what he'd do if he could read your post!

LOL :D

This made me laugh, good stuff.

I have not negged anyone in this thread and rarely do, just surprised how many people agree with these 2 generally offensive remarks.

But thanks for teaching me about tolerance I learned a lot from you.

Well, I laugh at myself a lot, too. And I think I laughed at your funny remark about learning something from me.

I grew up knowing most people pretty much hated what I am. I respect freedom of speech and hold it sacred. More sacred than my sacred little feelings.

what is degenerate about my view on suicide.

lets blame everyone but the guy taking his own live.

There are a few suicide attempts based solely for personal reasons. Most are a response to external pressures from a person who feels they have no other escape.

The defense department IT people are often as conservative as anyone on this board, and I've talked to my share of conservative teachers. However, you are highlighting one of the important reasons for tenure. In schools, more than anywhere else, we need employees who can present diverse viewpoints to students.

Whatever the excuse, he was wrong in leading a woman on for 8 years. Lance Bass said that he simply abstained from being in a relationship with anyone to protect his career. Jason could have/SHOULD HAVE broken up with his "girlfriend" after a few years. Go solo for a while, get another GF or a string of ladies; there's no shortage of women who want to be around NBA players. Or do what many actors and singers have done when they felt they had to hide their homosexuality in order to preserve their careers: get a GF for "window drssing" who knows what the situation is, one who will protect your secret, allow you to live your lifestyle, but be by your side at public functions. Outrageous, you say? I could give you a few examples of men who have specifically done that. What Jason did was DISHONEST. He's not the victim; Carolyn Moos is!

""Carolyn Moos, Jason Collins’ longtime girlfriend, said Tuesday that she never suspected the man she spent the better part of a decade with was gay — even when he called off their engagement in 2009.

“It’s not easy to understand. I had dreams of having children and having a husband, and I still have those dreams,” Moos told the Daily News, breaking her silence about Collins, the first active, openly gay athlete in American team sports to come out of the closet.

“Anger was a definite emotion that I had to work through,” she said, reflecting on how their relationship ended. “I think it would only be human to be angry about diminished dreams. Otherwise, I would think that you’re robotic.”"

Sorry, but Carolyn's chances of finding a husband, of having children are greatly diminished. Getting pregnant gets infinitely more difficult as women approach 40, and significantly more dangerous. Were she to meet someone right now, perhaps she has 1 or 2 children...if she manages to get pregnant. Or maybe she goes the IVF route if she has problems with fertility. In any case, Collins should be criticized for his actions and dishonesty with Ms. Moos.
i'm too hungover to respond to this so I'm just going to vomit all over you instead

So you're saying a woman should NOT believe in having a husband and having children? I'm a man and I had those goals. I would have been VERY upset if the woman I had been sharing a bed with for 8 years, who had agreed to marry me, then declared she had always been a lesbian. Oh I forgot, a woman can just go out and have children by any number of boyfriends or casual encounters. No big deal to be a single mom and raise kids. It's very much in fashion these days. Children don't really need fathers present nor to see a husband who is married to his/her mother. In fact, isn't it better for the diversity of the species if women have children by numerous partners? And never mind the cost...welfare and supplemental assistance will take care of it. And the "village" will raise the children if the woman DOES decide to work. Just because you may believe a woman does not have the right to dream of having children and a husband, does not mean those who do are wrong. Ms. Moos is a Christian and believes in marriage and a family. Jason is supposedly a Christian, but never wanted the same thing. He was disingenuous and deceitful in his relationship. At the very LEAST, Collins should have come out to her in 2009 and disclosed the real reason for breaking the engagement. It's likely he said he just wasn't ready for marriage, as the relationship continued another four years before Collins came out. So I guess Jason isn't GAY; he's bi-sexual since he was able to maintain a physical relationship with a GF while at the same time being attracted to men. The LGBT community should be INCENSED at Jason over this. Oh yeah, that's right...very few news outlets even mentioned the fact Collins had a FEMALE fiancée. It shines a very ugly light on the movement.

weakness, fight back. there is always escape.

they might be to weak to see all their escape routes

who is to blame for this.

ooh wait society

Tenure should be granted on individual merit and nothing else. Dramatically increase teachers salaries to attract better teachers. Then provide incentives for success. Such as time off, bonuses and gift items like a new BBQ. The politicising of the school system is sickening.

Federal employees have to deal with the Hatch Act. Teachers should be under the same policy.

There is pressure for Christian males to suppress homosexual urges and live normal lives with wives and children sometimes using this horrible thing called sexual reorientation therapy. He probably believed he could live a normal life by suppressing his "disease." Also, just because he had a fiance doesn't mean he is bisexual. All these things have been explained to you by various individuals in this thread. Your grasp of this subject matter is tenuous at best.

PS. Your tangent about single mothers is nonsensical.

You highlighted Carolyn Moos' statement about wanting a husband and starting a family. And then said you were vomiting. So please explain to me why Carolyn's statement was offensive to you. There are many Christian sects which accept homosexuality, so I don't buy the "pressure" excuse. Here are just a few of the Christian faiths which accept openly homosexual members: Evangelical Lutheran Church, Presbyterian Church and the Metropolitan Community Church. Collins did not have to hide his homosexuality to remain a Christian; he could have joined any one of those sects or a number of others that do not denounce homosexuality. You highlighted Carolyn's comments and I simply pointed out it was perfectly valid for her to dream of a husband and family and Jason had an obligation to a woman he obviously told that he loved, that he did not want to marry her and did not want to have a family with her.
