Marijuana: Facts, Myths, and plain old Stupidity.

Salty, you do realize that you're... nevermind, of course you don't.

Let's put it this way:

I say that for the most part, pot didn't make me tired. You say that I am lying, and "When the facts are on my side, you are fighting a losing battle. Weed absolutely does make you (and anyone else) tired if you smoke enough if it. This is not debatable, it's a scientific fact." "I agree that taking a few hits of some strains will not make you tired. Try to smoke a few pounds of that strain and you will probably be passed out long before you get done.", which contradict each other. So, which is it? Does pot make you tired or not? Keep in mind that realistically, nobody is going to sit and smoke a pound of pot. (I know reality isn't your strong point, but just play along please.)

As far as calling me a jackass, I'm sorry but I'm not the one in here calling people liars and telling them how wrong they are because they don't have the same beliefs as me. (which is only partly true, because I'm telling you that you're wrong, but not because of my beliefs, but because of actual REAL facts.)
I am not contradicting myself at all. I know that nobody is going to sit down and smoke a pound of pot. I have been saying that from the get go. I have said, pretty consistently, I don't think weed makes driving dangerous enough that it requires a law. Yes, you can smoke enough weed that at some point it becomes dangerous (because if you can smoke enough to pass out then you can smoke enough where you can't drive). But I don't think people hit that limit often enough where we need to make a law restricting it.

I didn't call you a jackass. I simply pointed out that just because you make fun of me as a person or poster or whatever, it doesn't mean your argument is automatically better than mine. THC does make you tired, it's a scientific fact. Even if you never felt tired, it doesn't mean smoking twice as much wouldn't have put you to sleep.

So does alcohol.

It's interesting to note:

Oxygen in high doses will kill you.
Caffeine in high doses will kill you.
Water in high doses will kill you.

The list goes on and on, yet there is nobody here barking that THOSE THINGS KILL PEOPLE, IT'S A SCIENTIFIC FACT! But seriously, telling us all to go smoke a pound of weed and see how tired we get is not intellectually honest and just plain stupid. (as the title of this thread suggests)

and because this thread is missing pictures of the lovely ladies:

Actually, I noted that way too much of EVERYTHING will make driving dangerous at some point, and we don't need laws to restrict it. I even gave examples of too much pizza and pants that are too tight.

So not sure how you are proving me wrong there, I actually agree with you.

I am not telling anyone to smoke that much pot. On the contrary, I am saying people DON'T usually smoke that much pot.

Not talking about a strain here, talking about THC. Smoke enough of that strain and you will absolutely get tired. I agree that taking a few hits of some strains will not make you tired. Try to smoke a few pounds of that strain and you will probably be passed out long before you get done.

OK then I will just outright disagree with you then. I have taken THC capsules and they do not make me tired.

Actually, you did contradict yourself, but this is like trying to argue that the Earth revolves around the Sun. Either you believe it or you don't, nothing I say will change your mind.

I know that nobody is going to sit down and smoke a pound of pot.
If you "know" that, why do you keep using it as a crutch for your argument?

I have been saying that from the get go. I have said, pretty consistently, I don't think weed makes driving dangerous enough that it requires a law. I'm not sure why you bothered responding with this, as I dropped this section of the argument pages and pages ago. Again, Earth - Sun - Revolution... You get the idea. Not relevant to this part of the argument.

I didn't call you a jackass. I simply pointed out that just because you make fun of me as a person or poster or whatever, it doesn't mean your argument is automatically better than mine. You're right, you didn't call me a jackass. Apologies for the inference. FWIW, I respect the Hell out of you as a person, as you and I have had quite a few interactions over the years; but this doesn't disqualify you from being retarded online, which is the case here. (and with any topic that has Utah Utes in it) As has been pointed out by several people in this thread, THC does NOT always make you tired, nor is it a scientific fact. To say that, "Even if you never felt tired, it doesn't mean smoking twice as much wouldn't have put you to sleep." is ridiculous.

So, here we are again.

The earlier you harvest also tends to make them less sleep-inducing. An early-harvested pure sativa's going to affect you a lot differently than a late-harvested pure indica. Also, as trout has pointed out, different people react differently to THC. People should keep in mind that Delta9-THC is only one of 66 cannabinoids found in marijuana, and thus different combinations of these compounds will create a different effect.

Yes I am aware of that I grow medical marijuana and have for a long time.

OK then I will just outright disagree with you then. I have taken THC capsules and they do not make me tired.
Trust me, you take enough THC into your body, you will pass out. You may very well have taken THC capsules and not passed out. That doesn't mean taking 1000 more all at once won't put you down. Everyone has a limit, and there is no exception to this rule.

I feel like this thread has gone one for 20 pages longer than it should have.
