Like ranking Cody over Collier is you just holding onto your completely made up idea of what Cody was from your draft takes when you convinced us he was going to be a taller SGA
Obviously the SGA thing for Cody was a loose comp and outlier outcome. Cody's supposed to be more like a 6'7" Latrell Sprewell, and that's after a few years of development. You can look up my posts on Cody in the draft thread. The Jazz also had Cody rated as a top-5 prospect, which is why they were happy to draft him where they did.
Teams are still going to value Cody over Isaiah at this stage, due to Cody's potential and his measurables. Collier has had some nice games over the past few weeks, but it's not enough to change his role or his outlook much in the bigger picture. The Jazz will happily draft a high-level lead guard in one of the next two drafts and make Collier a backup. Right now, the Jazz are trying to lose.
