I don't think its bad for us. I am not sure the Lakers move Russ (he's been good off the bench) and I think with every win Indiana is more likely to keep Turner and just continue winning. Their owner is 88 and hasn't wanted to tank in the past. They also can use their current cap space to renegotiate and extend Turner. I'm not even sure if Lakers offered up the picks that the Pacers would be thrilled about it now.

LA is running out of places to do a Russ deal if Indiana is out. Charlotte the deal hinged on Gordon (they could do it other ways) and Gordo is now out. If they continue to suck they may just forget doing any deals. They may do a lesser deal with Bev and Nunn being the outgoing salary.

I mean, the Lakers win more games and they have a higher chance at pushing us down the rankings, improving our own pick. I also don't want New Orleans to have a top 3 pick

I mean Rudy literally said it in the media... I am not sure why he makes everything bigger than it is... like why does everything have to be a thing?

Ahhh... with no motivation to tank I think we can still drop below the Lakers... though if they don't make a move James may get pissy and shut it down once he gets the scoring record. Since they don't have incentive to tank I think they end up 8-9 at worst.

I'm confident Lakers will 100% make 1-2 moves before the deadline. Even if they don't trade Westbrook they still have Nunn, Beverley, '27, '29 FRP's to deal for more help.

He is trying to glossy up his image after the ugly breakup in Utah. Needs to get more people swiping right.

I had to come back to this quote again. He says it like they mentioned it to him and his brain exploded while he thought "oh yeah defense is a thing... maybe I should play it".
Like if no one brought it up he never would have remembered. Like a person you forgot from high school "man I should look up defense online and see how she's doing."

Like this dude didn't mention how much his defense was gonna improve every effing offseason. This guy weird.
