The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

I’d be more optimistic about Cody’s potential if he had Bilal’s motor. I think Cody will eventually become a useful, versatile player but he can only go so far being this passive. He will be less passive as he gets better and stronger, but I believe that a high motor is something that can’t always be taught.
Hendrick's motor seemed much improved before his injury.

I’d agree, though I felt as though TH’s motor was always kind of up and down. But there were definitely moments even last year where he was making all sorts of plays. Cody has never been up and down, it’s just always been down. Hoping he can improve on that, but I feel like a lot of this is just innate.

The Bucks roster outside of Giannis look awful. Giannis had 37pts and was a +0 in his 33 minutes last night. This means they were -23 in the 15 minutes he was off the court.

Lakers Fans are really mad that he turned out so bad they wont even waste a vet minimum spot to keep him around 1 year longer.

The main reason for their ire:

That is crazy quick to punt on a kid that hasn't even gotten run in the nba but played really well in the gleague last year. Back injuries can be a bitch though so maybe it robbed him of some athleticism and they don't believe he will get it back.

They will get going at some point but damn they are in a bad spot going forward with no control over their first round picks for the next 6 years.

I’m guessing the back injury is pretty serious. I joke a lot, but JHS was at least a good GLeague player.

Getting his option declined basically means that not only did the Lakers not want to give him a chance/pick up his option…but no team in the league was willing to give him a roster spot/pick up his option.

The Lakers would love to dump him onto another team and open up a minimum roster spot for someone else. Right now they can’t waive him and sign someone else bc of the 2nd apron.

For a playoff team trying to win now with two superstars on the roster drafting a raw OAD PG that couldn't shoot and looked far away from making an impact was interesting.

Great game from Rudy today. Big rebound , 2 FT and a huge defense on Jokic for last possession. Should shut up Shaq mouth at least for a while.
I'm kind of surprised gobert wasn't ejected earlier in the game.
