The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

I was just looking at schedules and I see the lakers played against the pelicans on tuesday april 16th. They dont play again until the 20th. They were a play in team and it seems like they have a decent amount of time off to rest.

Kings and pelicans got a couple days off before their games tonight.

Im not seeing any back to back games for any of the play in teams regardless of how the tournament goes. These guys are used to playing every other day. I dont think its a big deal. Losing zion or someone in these tourney games is the real big disadvantage but he could get hurt in game 1 of a playoff series too i guess.

I've go no problem with giving the top seeds more of an advantage. I say give them even more of an advantage by letting them pick their opponents every round. Have to incentivize winning in the regular season.
I like it

100% if they want people to take the regular season as serious as possible you give as many advantages as you can to those that earned it in the 82 game grind.

I'm glad to hear that we might not have to get a new arena

They may build a new arena and make that part of some major real estate development, but that would be a multi-year project. Delta Center makes sense to get the franchise started.

Kings gotta make some decissions as to how they move forward. They dont look or feel like a contender and their 2 best players may both be 2nd banana level.

For the prospect of them paying a high price for Lauri, a 2nd round exit would have been better than a play in exit.

I think its possible that they will be starchasing as well.

What if the plan is to put hockey in the Delta Center and move the Jazz to a new arena?
Then I wouldn't like that. Unless I dont have to pay for it

Bold. NBA team has to make decisions in the future.

I don't think the Kings will feel that much pressure. Then doing this well is still a overall accomplishment
