What's new

The official: Bogey is the best offensive player the Jazz have.

As soon as Mitchell becomes 6'9....

Guards have to take floates. He just has to take better ones.
floaters are low percentage shot. Mitchell's mid range jumper is money, he should just stick to that. Have you seen Michael Jordan ever take floaters?

I know Mitchell is trying to add the floater to his game, but honestly I think it's something he should use very rarely. His middy jumper is cash and his snatchback jumper is nasty. Those should be the midrange go-to's for him. That's enough to force the defense to play him tight enough where he can get to the rim basically at will for dunks or those under hand scoops he's really good at.

Basically a 6'8 JJ Redick. A shooter that everyone would love to have on their team.
Don’t know that I’ve seen Redick take people off the dribble.

That said, Redick was the guy I wanted most that year in the draft. I envisioned him being what he’s being, but next to Deron. Took him like 6-7 years to get there, though.

Doesn’t really matter how he gets there... he gets there and he finishes
Are you kidding me? Of course it matters how he gets there. If he only has one way of driving then the defense will adapt and negate that line of attack, especially come playoff time.

Yes, Michael Jordan took floaters.

Maybe one in the blue moon. The point is - Mitchell is taking way too many floaters. Cut down on them and instead take mid range jumper or drive all the way to the basket. His TS% would go up for sure - floater is the worst shot in basketball.

Of course it can be game planned. But we are talking about weapon #7 in our armory, not #2 or #3.

If Bogey’s drives become a point of emphasis for any team, Quinn will adjust and we will destroy them another way.

Damn you are dense... If they take away his hard straight line drive it means they are giving something else up... you don't have to be Kyrie Irving to be a driver. You said he's one dimensional and can't drive... he can... you're wrong. Giannis is basically a straight line driver... can Euro step a little, can stop and shoot a hook over a guy, but he isn't crossing people up and hitting step backs.

And that's what happened in the second game against Minnesota (at least I hope it was Quin's plan and not just a random accident). We had Bogey shooting threes instead of driving.
