If neither type of protest leads to an increase then that would be great, but probably surprising. What if they don’t lead to a spike?
Ya, what if?!What if they don’t lead to a spike?
About a week out from Memorial day and Utah has has it's 4 highest positive test results days all in a row. Thursday, 5-28, 215 positive tests (new high), Friday 5-29, 343 positive tests (new high), Saturday 5-30, 239 positive tests, Sunday 5-31, 264 positive tests. What if they don’t lead to a spike?
I hate to break it, but it’s not just people here who are done worrying about COVID, but this will be across the country. Even the doomsdayers were fatigued with continuing on. This is like playing the first three quarters straight and finally getting someone to sub in. I think a lot of people are going to get to the bench and then just say “**** it, I’m done.”About a week out from Memorial day and Utah has has it's 4 highest positive test results days all in a row. We had been hovering around 150 positives a day. Weekends usually have a slight dip, Tuesday usually has a bump. I know that even 4 days isn't conclusive, but by the time we decide it's conclusive it's gonna be hard to put the toothpaste back in the tube. People here are obviously done worrying about COVID-19.
Opening up was the right thing to do but it needed to be accompanied by an order to wear masks, stay socially distant and to not go into public places with more people than necessary. Instead, just as we open up everyone decided that meant it's all good, no mask needed, hang out with friends in high traffic public places, back to normal.
I think we all agree that everyone is sick of the quarantine the virus and staying home and the economy hurting. Everyone.I hate to break it, but it’s not just people here who are done worrying about COVID, but this will be across the country. Even the doomsdayers were fatigued with continuing on.
