Sorry to @One Brow again, but even if he was. There's no hypocrisy with advocating for a different economic system yet living and existing under the one that currently exists.

People think socialism means that he shouldn't have any houses at all. But, they fail to realize that personally redistributing his own money to poor people is just charity and would do nothing to accomplish his goal of change. If anything his advocacy is more powerful as the beneficiary of capitalism because he recognizes that there are multitudes who live in poverty due to the current system and would be willing to give up a system that benefits him to raise those who are less fortunate.

This also ignores the fact that he does put considerable time, energy and money to further his cause wherever possible.

I do want to thank fish for admitting that OB was merely trolling me to distract me. You were 100% correct and I thank you. Now I can focus on a lot more things... more important things...than spending a lot of time hearing him lie about what a girl said. Even though there's direct quotes and a lawsuit that states specifically what happened he mansplaned what she really meant because of something as stupid as "active voice" not the actually words she spoke... multiple times.

By "People", I don't mean good-faith supporters of socialism. More like talking heads from Fox News, CNN, and brain-broken people. I'm not sure if that was clear.

Most forms of socialism make allowance for "personal property", like a house (for living in, not as an investment vehicle) distinct from "private property" which is more closely defined as the accumulation of capital. In that sense, Social democracies like Sweden, despite being more socialized and worker-friendly, are still very capitalist.

Just to be clear where I stand on it. I'm not a socialist either. I believe that market forces are good and efficient for where they are appropriate.
