Sorry to @One Brow again, but even if he was. There's no hypocrisy with advocating for a different economic system yet living and existing under the one that currently exists.Sanders is not a Communist.
People think socialism means that he shouldn't have any houses at all. But, they fail to realize that personally redistributing his own money to poor people is just charity and would do nothing to accomplish his goal of change. If anything his advocacy is more powerful as the beneficiary of capitalism because he recognizes that there are multitudes who live in poverty due to the current system and would be willing to give up a system that benefits him to raise those who are less fortunate.
This also ignores the fact that he does put considerable time, energy and money to further his cause wherever possible.
