It’s really annoying to me to see republicans on this board who might not necessarily be pro Trump (they’ll probably still vote for him in November by convincing themselves that tribalism is more important than electing democrats cuz of abortion and stuff) attack the Democratic Party for being corrupt. Sure, whatever, they aren’t amazing. I have no real allegiance to them. But one party is trying to govern responsibly in a way that benefits the majority of the country while the other party has become a cult. A cult bent on installing a leader that wants to become a dictator. It’s another lame attempt to “both sides” the two parties. If one is corrupt then the other can’t be worse. And if both parties are corrupt and both are putting forward two old unpopular candidates then everything is the same. When in reality, the candidates nor the parties are in the same universe of corruption or authoritarianism.

It’s just a lame cynical attempt by low informed posters to massage the guilt they may have in ultimately helping Trump get reelected and ultimately become a dictator. A lot of LDS people in Utah help fund and empower this personality cult all for a man and evangelical movement that won’t hesitate to backstab them when given an opportunity. I wish more LDS kept that in mind. Christian nationalists overwhelmingly don’t believe Mormons to be Christian. The seven mountains CNs hope to dominate don’t have any room for Muslims, Jews, or Mormons. Keep that in mind.

The reason why he didn’t know is because he lives in Utah and Biden is a Democrat. Democrats have zero influence in Utah. So unless you’re actively paying attention closely to Utah politics, you’d miss the caucus and primary. If Fish wasn’t registered as a Democrat, he wouldn’t have received anything, not even a ballot.

Lastly, Biden was an incumbent. Incumbents running for reelection typically aren’t primaried. I don’t remember you saying anything like this when Trump was running for reelection in 2020. Who primaried Obama in 2012? Anyone remember who primaried Bush in 2004? Clinton in 96?

Cmon doctor, let’s be honest and not just look to score tribal points.

Sometimes a banana is a banana. There really isn't any substance to Kamala to rally behind.

Plus, this isn't going to happen. Remember? You already guaranteed us this is a non issue, Biden isn't dropping out, the masses would forget the next day and this would all blow over.

Biden literally said he is going to choose a woman and not look at both gender options. He never said anything about a Black vice president, just a Justice. Why bring up race? DEI is not exclusive to Black Women. You added the racist part.

“According to White House visitor logs reviewed by the New York Post, Dr Kevin Cannard, a Parkinson’s disease expert at Walter Reed medical center, met with Dr Kevin O’Connor, a doctor of osteopathic medicine who has treated the president for years.

The visit took place at the White House residence clinic on 17 January. Cannard has visited the White House house eight times since August 2023. On seven of those visits, most recently in late March, he met with Megan Nasworthy, a liaison between Walter Reed and the White House.

Earlier this year, the White House press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, defended O’Connor’s decision not to administer a cognitive test when the issue came up following a report by the special counsel Robert Hur into classified documents found at Biden’s Delaware home that concluded Biden was a “well-meaning elderly man with a poor memory”.

At that time, as now, the White House pushed back, accusing Hur of being part of a partisan smear campaign. “I’m well-meaning, and I’m elderly, and I know what I’m doing,” Biden said at a news conference. “My memory is fine.”

But the eight visits Kevin Cannard has made to the White House over the past 11 months are certain to raise further questions about the 81-year-old president’s mental abilities in the wake of his debate with Donald Trump and subsequent verbal mistakes, including during a radio interview on Thursday when he said he was “proud” to be the “first Black woman to serve with a Black president”.

Cannard has served as the “neurology specialist supporting the White House medical unit” since 2012 and published academic papers including one last year in the Parkinsonism & Related Disorders journal that focused on the “early stage” of the brain degenerative disorder.

Ronny Jackson, a Republican congressman in Texas who was White House doctor for Barack Obama and Trump, has previously called for Biden to undergo a cognitive exam and accused O’Connor and Biden’s family of trying to “cover up” problems with Biden’s mental abilities.

Jackson told the New York Post he believed that O’Connor and Biden “have led the cover up”.

“Kevin O’Connor is like a son to Jill Biden – she loves him,” Jackson continued, adding that ‘they knew they could trust Kevin to say and do anything that needed to be said or done”.

  • Biden would step down as the Democratic nominee in mid-July, and announce the new system, with backing from Vice President Kamala Harris.
  • Potential candidates would have a few days to throw their respective hats in the ring. The Democratic Party then would begin a primary sprint in which the six candidates who receive the most votes from delegates pledge to run positive-only campaigns in the month leading up to the convention.
  • The “blitz primary” would involve weekly forums with each candidate moderated by cultural icons (Michelle Obama, Oprah, and Taylor Swift are among the names floated in the memo) in order to engage voters.
  • The nominee would ultimately be chosen by the delegates using ranked choice voting before the start of the Chicago convention on Aug. 19.
  • It would be announced with plenty of fanfare on the third day of the gathering. The memo imagines the nominee unveiled on stage with Biden, Barack Obama and Bill Clinton.
