Not voting for Trump because Project 2025 vastly increases the power of the presidency, something we do not need, and because the man does everything he can to bring out the darker angels of our human nature, and because he encourages his followers to treat as the enemy of America any fellow citizen who disagrees with him on any subject, thereby making Democrats a more dangerous enemy that our geopolitical adversaries, and because he promises to withdraw the US from NATO. Pretty sure I could go on…..but my feelings regarding broccoli would not be a factor.
More propaganda from Red. How utterly embarrassing and quite scary how people can literally make up propaganda and crazy conspiracies out of thin air and nobody ever questions them.

"I know nothing about Project 2025," Trump posted Friday on Truth Social. "I have no idea who is behind it. I disagree with some of the things they're saying and some of the things they're saying are absolutely ridiculous and abysmal. Anything they do, I wish them luck, but I have nothing to do with them."

Yeah, no.

  • Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.), who chaired the House Jan. 6 committee, told Axios' Hans Nichols that Harris is "incredibly strong ... You can't say Biden has done a good job without saying she's done a good job." For her to be pushed aside from consideration, he said, "would be the kiss of death for the party."
That’s obvious. Thats why the Axios article. Harris is the obvious choice, popular much, or not, I don’t think people will punish the Democrats for retiring Biden and backing Harris. She’s as good as any last minute candidate to help with the “don’t want Trump or Biden” mood in the country. At this point, no time for a power struggle. Put a good ticket together, with Harris at the top. But the general thought I had in mind is “whoever nominates someone different, will win the election”. Just back the VP, 2 months to campaign hard. It’s tough, but many will feel relief and not staying home on Nov. 5.

My response to this?: duh

I been saying this for a long long time

I know. A great idea, but it didn’t seem like a real world option with Biden as the presumed candidate, until it was not only the best option, it became the only option, at least the more I think of it in this dire moment!

I love hearing Secretary Pete speak, he's probably the 4th best political orator (at least on the national stage) in my lifetime (behind Reagan, Clinton, and Obama), but he is such a corporatist that I stopped supporting him. It's probably likely that I would feel the same way about Newsome and Whittmer if I studied them at all.

Pete would be so refreshing. Smeone who could actually speak off the cuff and develop a thought.

Interesting... Have I not been pushing for 3 years that you guys should focus on Biden and his massive failures instead of insanely obsessing about Trump? Have I not been nearly beat yo death around here for suggesting Biden is the worst and most racist bigoted and down right fascist President in our history?

If Trump wins you all deserve every little bit you get for sticking up for such a terrible president.

I think Harris would be the worst candidate of any of the top names. People just don't gravitate to her. I was interested in her during the 2020 primaries but she was a letdown. Nothing since has changed my mind. She was chosen by Biden for VP because she's a woman and black and that's about it. Democrats can't be trusted to make the choice, they should look at the polls.

Newsome is as well. He is an excellent orator though. I could get behind him if it's him or Trump though.

This. She'd be the one offering the left could make that would lose soundly to Trump. Literally anyone else would be more viable.

Lol Kamala. Democrats are just dumb lol. I understand polls are nothing but Kamala is more braindead than Biden and it's even remotely close. That seems impossible but look who voted for her, she does fit the bill of her constituents.

Daily Mail Poll: Trump Leads Kamala Harris by 11 Points

Republican presumptive nominee Donald Trump leads Vice President Kamala Harris by 11 points in a hypothetical head-to-head presidential election matchup, according to a new Daily Mail poll.

They are going to have to figure something out. Trump has large leads in the poll of all swing states. Trump is up by 6% nationally. 73% of registered democrats think Joe Biden is too old. Yet, with all of that, Joe Biden will win the election because of the changes made to the system. No GOP candidate can win a national election. If Joe Biden stays in, he will win even though his opponent has a 6% lead in the polls, and people will start asking questions.
Like when Hilary was killing trump in all the polls prior to Trump's election win.
