The win-now movement = Moral victories. KD to the Warriors means they've overplayed their hand

KD to the Warriors means the whole league is ****ed. Thank you captain obvious.

You're welcome Chicken Little.

The league isn't ****ed, just for a finite amount of time, I probably understand that more than most everyone here, which is why this thread has gotten the responses it has..

the move is to prepare for when these power teams start to age.

Father time is the only one undefeated in sports, my point is the JAzz should be angling to capitalize on when these teams age rather than to go and face them head on while woefully undermanned.

This is flawed at its base as there will always be super teams. It's called history.

There is always going to be super teams. Kicking the can down the road, trying to "weather the storm" is not a viable strategy as a general manager.
There might be 1 or 2 year breaks from super teams, but it would be impossible to instantly form a contending team that fast out of thin air.

Um....Utah did stay young. Their title hopes lay in Exum and Gobert and Hayward. They are still here. If everything goes the Jazz way, Hill and JJ will be bench guys come the playoffs.

Title hopes with those guys?
HA who are you kidding, That's not championship caliber, Not one bit... LOL
The Jazz suck. They cant compete because a big time free agent is never going come to Utah.. Its the culture thing I am telling you. Shake your head and don't believe me but its the truth

So here's a question. Little bit off topic.

If 100% of your posts are made purely to bitch about the Jazz, why even bother following them, let alone post about them all the time?

How good would this team be with AJ Sap Gobert older Favors an Hayward Hill and JJ? I take that over everything we have today an I would not have to watched losing seasons for no reason.
Not very good because none of AJ, Millsap, Favors and Gobert wanted to be bench players. Outside of that, Jazz couldn't have afforded all of them + Hayward. When the decision to keep two (Favors and Kanter) was made, no one knew the cap would spike. In hindsight, perhaps keeping Millsap over Favors would have been the better choice. But Millsap is aging. So the idea was to have our entire core mature together.

I disagree with everything you have written here.
So let's just agree to disagree.

Peace.

Do you agree that a team like the Timberwolves is more set up to win 10 years from now than the Jazz?

My point is about a long-term outlook like that.

I post nothing but positive things about many Jazz related topics.. The Trey Lyles pick, the Trevor Booker signing, The Rudy Gobert pick, the Rodney Hood pick, the Quinn Snyder signing, the Ty Corbin firing to name just a few..

You familiar with the word pigeonholing? Thats what you're trying to do to my arguments, it's baseless though. Try again.

I'm just being consistent, I wanted them to snowball assets like Al Jefferson and Millsap instead of letting them walk for nothing too.

Hahahahahahahahah

Hahahahahaha

Who is best set up to win the best in 2045? 2067?

This is flawed at its base as there will always be super teams. It's called history.

The super teams arent stacked like they are these days, whens the last time a 73 win team signed a 1st ballot hof'er??

The Jazz have chosen to bang their heads into a brick wall instead of take a step back and operate from a truly long-term outlook. People here just don't want to hear that I was right about anything, even if it was a shot I've been calling for literally years.

How we looking in 2035?

I think it gives us a chance to make better moves actually. The power houses in the West are dwindling, while our arrow is going up. We'll still have GS in front of us, but a move or two and we are in better position than most teams in the west with OKC losing one of its stars and possibly Westbrook next year.

SA-Getting old
OKC- Getting worse
Dallas- Getting old
Portland-arrow slightly up
Houston-arrow maybe up, but nothing spectacular
Memphis- Still good
Utah- arrow up barring injuries
Edit Minnesota- In the same boat as us, but still young.

If we add a little more talent we are right in the mix.

Yes, I do. But it's not at all easy to get the #1 pick and get a Towns. AND make a trade for Wiggins. And...

It's hardly a responsible blueprint.
Look at how many teams try and fail miserably.
