Don't like Irving....he's a trouble maker. And he's overrated as a shooter as well!
Please explain how he's overrated as a shooter? He's a career 46.5% shooter and 39% from 3 and he's shot over 40% from 3 the past 3 seasons. He's also a great rim finisher.
Seems to me he misses shots he should make and makes shots after the outcome of the game has been decided! I just don't like him or his attitude! Rather spend the money on a couple of other guys who will sacrifice themselves for the sake of the game!
Headcases don't win titles. Dude is legit.
Rasheed Wallace, Kevin Garnett, Bill Laimbeer, Ron Artest, Jason Kidd all come to mind as well and all had their issues and dramas on and off the court.Draymond Green has multiple rings. As does Dennis Rodman.

Yup. Talent trumpsRasheed Wallace, Kevin Garnett, Bill Laimbeer, Ron Artest, Jason Kidd all come to mind as well and all had their issues and dramas on and off the court.
Hell... Kobe was in a rape lawsuit and MJ was notorious for being disliked as a teammate, had a big gambling problem and was caught paying drug dealers.
Throw in players who simply made it to the finals and you get AI’s run ins with the law, Barkley’s numerous addictions, Ewing soliciting prostitutes, etc.
Keep him in check from what? What is it that you think he would do if he were with the jazz and we were winning around 60 games? Those guys, Draymond and Rodman were malcontents but they werent the team leaders. So the leaders (Dirk, Pierce, Billups, Kobe, MJ, Isiah, etc.) kept those guys in check.
As for Kobe and MJ, they were top10 players all time.
Kyrie isn't a top 10 player right now much less all time. And if he came here, we dont yet have the type leader needed to keep a Kyrie in check.

I mean get the best out of the team. Rasheed was great in Portland, but was refined in Detroit by amazing leadership.Keep him in check from what? What is it that you think he would do if he were with the jazz and we were winning around 60 games?

I think Kyrie is an ideal 2nd option player like he was Cleveland. His fragile body and ego isn't a good fit for being an alpha on a contender. We don't have the alpha to lead Kyrie. Donovan just isn't quite there yet and Kyrie's personality could completely dominate and derail Donovan's current rapid progression.
I just think he is a terrible fit.

Better chance than without imoGood point. The question is do we win a championship with Kyrie? That's the gamble.
