What type of candidate can beat Trump?

Both parties are so ridiculous. We are likely to have bad presidents for a long time unless they get their acts together. I agree that Democrats are making it hard on themselves to win. That shouldn't be difficult to figure out. Probably 80%* of what people value are the same regardless of political ideology. Focus on those things instead of the other 20%.

*not an official statistic of any sort - just my own observations

Agreed.

I don’t understand why we even have a House or Reps still by the way Pelosi has acted. She essentially says, “that she can’t pass anything while Mitch and Donald are at the controls. So it’s not even worth trying.” Sooooooo why even have a House? Why did we give you back the controls of power?

If I were in charge I’d focus on 4 things:

1. Treating people like human beings. We can work on immigration without putting kids in cages or blowing billions on a damn wall.

2. Protecting health care. We don’t need to get into details about how that’ll be done. That’s a battle for another day. But right now millions of people are about to lose their health care (depending on what happens in the 5th circuit). And currently millions cannot afford their prescriptions. That shouldn’t be.

3. Our elections must be protected against hacking. Campaign on automatic voting and securing our elections against fraud and attack.

4. The easiest one of all, keep Trump’s corruption in the spotlight. Yesterday should’ve hammered him with what our greatest allies are describing him as. England, even England, calls him, “insecure, inept, and incompetent.” Is this leadership we want?

Today? We should be focusing on how he doesn’t care about women. Hell, he and his buddies abused our judicial system because they’re rich. We need leadership that ****ing cares. I can’t imagine Obama tolerating a cabinet member’s insensitivity and potential corruption like this. Remind people what it was like to have a decent person in the White House. It’s only politically advantageous and morally expedient to remind voters about Trump and the pieces of **** he has in his cabinet. Sex trafficking shouldn’t be tolerated at all.

You can't imagine Obama doing anything wrong, that is your problem. Obama has already been implicated in the spying on Trump's campaign. Obama attorney general Holder referred to himself as Obama's wing man. Come on Thriller take the democratic blinders off.

Obama was a center-right Democrat that I never voted for. He was a corporate shill. He was terrible on immigration, out Deporter-in-Chief.

Obama has already been implicated in the spying on Trump's campaign.

Accusations mean nothing without evidence, and all the evidence says Obama was spying on Russians, and the trump campaign was so in Russia's pocket that it could not be avoided.

Obama attorney general Holder referred to himself as Obama's wing man.

He did work for him.

I didn't vote for Obama either time. I voted for McCain and then none of the above. I really wasn't a big fan of Obama's, although I don't think he was bad at administering our nation with a few really significant exceptions.

The biggest one for me is that, while the Iraq war was a mistake in retrospect, when Obama took office things had really turned around. There were the right kinds of relationships between the U.S. Military and various local leaders in Iraq. Things were finally starting to go right. Then Obama pulled out and left the void that ISIS eventually filled. Absolutely enormous blunder on his part. Not only did he essentially throw away the lives that were lost getting us that far but he cost many many more lives by giving ISIS such a golden opportunity to grow in a place we previously had control of.

The next one OB mentioned. Obama deported A LOT of people. The stories that really stuck with me were the people who were deported for very minor crimes after having served in the U.S. military as a path to U.S. citizenship. I served with many people who were there so that they could become citizens. I imagined those people, my friends, losing that dream after doing more for the U.S. than the majority of U.S. citizens because of moving violations or other relatively minor crimes. Really disgusting.

So I've shared my criticisms of a Democrat President, and they aren't things like "I didn't like the language he used," "I didn't like his crooked smile." I gave real meat there.

Let's hear you criticise Trump. Not for his style, let's here you complain about some substance.

Wow, good post. We are like the same person. Only I don't drink beer. :)

Instead, Tucker wants it to be ruled by people who hate half the population, as it that is an improvement.

Says the guy that supports the party that helps law breakers. The speaker of the house telling illegals how to break the law..how appropriate for a democrat...trump in 2020

Hold on, let me check right-wing fake news so I know what the **** you're talking about...

I'll give Pelosi and the Democrats credit for one thing: at least they're not hiding their true agenda anymore. Open borders, free healthcare for illegals, illegal aliens over US citizens. It's now all out in the open for US voters to decide if this is what they want.

link?

@jazzrule Sorry, forget my previous post. You probably don't even know what I mean by "link?" or have any idea how to post one.

Carry on.

To bè announced today by Trump. All part of the march toward a Republican dictatorship.....

https://www.cnn.com/2019/07/11/politics/trump-census-executive-action/index.html

Is this a red line for Pelosi? If he brushes aside the SCOTUS to put the citizenship question on the census causing a constitutional crisis, is that finally a red line that will trigger impeachment?

Or will Pelosi just ignore it and enable trump to now defy the courts in ways that we haven’t seen since Andrew Jackson? For those who don’t get this reference, google: “Worcester v Georgia.”

This guy... LOL.

Clearly you don't know much about human biology...
