What's new

At what point is it time to get concerned about Hayward?

I'm not sure that's the case, but he hasn't looked great ever since the McCollum throw to the floor. He looked great in every game prior and has looked passive and pedestrian after. Hopefully he shakes it off quickly. BTW I think he's been doing hell of a job defending.

I also think Hood is somewhat ball-hogging at times and taking away possessions from him. If he keeps his high shooting %s(and starts hitting the 3 better) I don't mind it much, but they will gel better together with time.

He's started off the season rusty on offense. I wouldnt be worried yet. Its good we've won two games without him contributing on offense.

Once he gets going we are going to be that much better.

lol

The guy has been our best perimeter defender by far (really like how people dont mention this at all, he has taken the next step on a defensive level). Let's all freak out he hasnt shot well yet.

When should we be concerned that Burks has taken 1 three pointer in 3 games?

When should we be concerned Rodney Hood only has 2 FTA's in 3 games?

When should we be concerned that Raul Neto is 1/11 from inside the 3pt line?

I feel like a claim this BOLD should it turn out false, the user should be banned from jazzfanz for lack of team moral!!

He already claimed he would quit Jazzfanz if Neto made the team over Cotton. He isn't a man of his word.

Our defense is looking ready good right now. Once Hayward and some other guys lock in on offense, we're going to be pretty good.

Hayward has played like **** so far this season, and it's not just his scoring. But it isn't like he hasn't gone thru slumps before. He'll rebound soon enough. I'm excited to see the Jazz play this well without the typical performance from Hayward. That's very encouraging.

He has been the Jazz's best perimeter defender by far.

Also, I nearly guarantee Hayward has at least a 20 point game vs. teh Blazers.

Home game and the Blazers aren't very good defensively. Hayward is going to take a **** on Aminu (coincidentally one of PGAB pet players). Jazz will get out on the break more behind the energy of the crowd and Hayward will get some early buckets and more whistles than he has been getting on the road.

BTW I'm more concerned about Burks not shooting 3's and Neto not being able to score inside the 3pt line way more than I'm about a slow Hayward start. Both much more thread worthy than this ****.

How long before the idiots bump the threads where they said we shouldn't have matched on the Hayward deal?

So what? I never said he had been worthless. But his offensive game is usually MUCH better. And he obviously didn't suddenly lose his skills. I expect him to bounce back.

Well when you said "its not just his scoring" made it seem like you were referring to his defense.

As far as passing. There has been a lot more 1-on-1 play from Burke/Burks/Hood that wasnt present last year. I think he is still making some great passes when he drives and is able to get the defense to sink into him.

I hope Hayward gets it going, because the way Burks plays offense is just a bandaid. We really need Hayward to get going since the team really thrives off the opportunities he can create when he is on.

Jazz 2-1 with two 20+ point wins and their only loss to an undefeated team. All on the road btw, with our best player struggling offensively? We should be celebrating, not complaining.

Common sense would tell you that Hayward probably hasn't suddenly become a 30% shooter. So the obvious thing any sane person would do is decide that taking a 3 game sample to make broad assumptions is stupid.

And before we start talking about taking in the Warriors in a seven game series, how about we start talking about making the playoffs.

Start some threads bro.
Oh wait, you already have

We know.
You never shut up about it and start threads about it

This is a stupid thread ,Jazz are 2-1 and playing by far the best defense so far . Play great defense and everybody's game starts to melt together .Good players play to their teams best interest ,not his own.

As the season goes on, Hayward won't have enough time to lift weights, and his arms will shrink. Then he will find his shot again.

Then his arms won't be too big yo to shoot with.

Case Closed
