Favors traded to the Pelicans

If the Jazz got a big, fat trade exception, I'm wondering if we could use it to pick up.......say, Gallinari. The Clippers are going to try to move him.

All we know right now is "picks". No details. I assume 2nd's.
Just imagine if it was a 1st rounder. I think we'd all have to get Justin Zanic flowers or jelly of the month.

After today I wouldn't be surprised. Maybe it's freaking Zion

Shouldnt you be on a beach drinking something with a naff little umbrella in it like the little bitch you are?

tomorrow arsehole I'm taking in today's NBA splendour seeing our Jazz rise to title contention. Tomorrow i'll be on the tropical beach toasting our success taking in all the bare european breasts a bloke could ever wish to see

I can get onto pornhub and do that without leaving the pub.

We don’t get an exception. Even if we did, Gallo makes more than Favors did.

Are we absolutely sure about this? No trades have happened just yet. If the Jazz renounce Rubio, Udoh and Thabo while not guaranteeing Korver, I see just around $20 million in space. This is enough room to sign Bogandovic. Favors has to be added to the Conley trade to make this happen as we will not be able to take Conley into cap, but have to match salaries.

Sign Bogdanovic - Trade Favors, Allen, Korver and Favors for Conley - Sign Davis with an Exception.

Jazz did Faves a solid here so he didn't have to sit on waivers and got back a pick or two in the process, a win for us and a classy gesture towards Faves, who has been a true professional. I'll miss him and wish him good luck with the Pels.

Multiple S&T's still a possibility.

Crowder + Korver + Grayson + Rubio: ~$34mm
Total salary Jazz can take back: $42.6mm
Conley + Davis: ~$37.3 (if Phoenix and Brooklyn play ball...)

Favors to Pelicans; Bojan S&T into Favors trade exception (a 4-yr contract starting at $16.9mm w/ 5% raises is worth $72.67mm).

Jazz still have the full MLE and BAE to play with. Unlikely, I know, but I'm still holding out hope.

If we get back two seconds from New Orleans, give one to Phoenix and the other to Brooklyn for helping. Sounds like a win-win

It's pretty amazing that the Jazz have secured three solid-to-great players without needing S&T help on Day 1 of the moratorium. 4 full days to try to work out S&T's if the Jazz can find players to slot into the additional exceptions they'd gain.

Great job, GVC. Wouldn't a pick need to be sent to Indiana for them to be involved in a S&T?
I hadn't noticed the starting salary for Bogdanovic matching Favors' contract (which includes the $900K in likely incentives).

I guess they'd have what's left of the MLE after signing Davis. And still have Burks' trade exception and the BAE left?

Oh, I see...Davis fits into the Conley trade if BKN plays ball. So have to convince three teams to cooperate by giving them draft picks or cash?

Yep--unlikely...but...Marcus Morris, anyone? I mean:

Rudy
Morris
Bojan
Donovan
Conley

Davis
Ingles
O'Neale
Exum

would be an all right team, no?

Was the draft night trade we had with Indiana made official? Because you could just add the sign and trade to that
