Get off our plane! Now!

In summary, OL is a dumbass who can't do a simple google search about airline profit margins and no clue of how things operate in the real world. Things aren't going to be ideal, or fair. Get over it.

Airfares are actually one of the only things i can think of that has actually got significantly cheaper in the last 20 odd years. Hell i can book a return flight to the US next week for 1200 bucks. (bout 850-900 USD) used to be around 2200-2500.

American airlines have gotten way more expensive. I remember with Southwest use to be super cheap just going from Texas to Florida.

Also this is not a standard over-booking situation, it's fully booked, but United wanted to put their own employees on board.

Oscar Munoz's apology

- "That is not who United is"

- "This cannot happen again on a United flight"

- "My initial apology fell short, and it's something I will learn from"

- "Use of law enforcement in an aircraft have to be looked at"

- "This was a SYSTEM failure"

- "This issue could have been solved by COMMON SENSE"

- "The INCENTIVE model needs to change"

- "In the future, we will not put law enforcement on the flight EVER AGAIN"

- "The passenger WAS NOT AT FAULT. HE CAN'T BE. NOONE SHOULD BE TREATED THAT WAY"

Yep, bad media will make you so what people want to hear. Just standard PR happening. Damage control.

Hey do you remember what was your sauce about the doctor going off the plane willingly and then changing his mind? I couldn't find it anywhere. Only read that he was dragged off the plane the first time round.
