Nikola Mirotic

Mirotic @ $12.5M >> Jabari @ $25M.
Yeah, but that's only for 1 more year after this current one. If Mirotic is in fact a bonafide starter who averages 16 points on good shooting, he is probably costing at least 16 million a year, maybe more, I think a lot of teams will have cap-space in 2019.

Just saying that comparison isnt fair. It's going to be a high number for Mirotic (if he plays well).

**** the tank. Get Mirotic and Hill and GTFO of the lottery.

Two trades?

One centered on Favors for Mirotic and another around Rubio/Burks and Hill?

Gobert/Udoh
Mirotic/Jerebko
Ingles/Sefolosha
Mitchell/Hood
Hill/Neto/Exum

Roughly...

Why else would Mirotic be intrigued by Utah? Because he loves mountains?

It's just a pretty logical conclusion that he likes Utah because of Snyder's offensive system, which fits his game. Another reason could be Rubio, since they are both on the Spanish National Team. IDK if they are friends or w/e, but there is that connection. Hill came here and blew up. You put competent offensive players who can shoot and are high IQ in Utah and they do well.

you put a competent offensive player who can shoot and are high IQ do well anywhere.

Hill did blow up though, and his ego probably blew up because of it. Now hes in sacramento playing for the guy made his GM draft STAUSKUS? STAUSKUS?!

Ok, then. Mirotic @ $16M > Jabari @ $25M.

Ehh, not really. Some systems just don't let players handle the ball and playmake like Quin does.

Like Mirotic is more than just a spot-up shooter, he can actually do some things with the ball. I think when the team had Butler/Rose then later Butler/Wade/Rondo he just never got the ball.

Well my point was we have no idea of knowing what Mirotic's figure would be. It's a George Hill situation, and we saw how that can turn ugly.

And if Parker is a star, then he's worth 25 million and way more valuable than Mirotic. The real equation is if what it takes to acquire and pay Parker is worth it compared to what it takes to acquire and pay Mirotic.

hmmmmmmmm, anybody wondering how and why mirotic requested the jazz?

what if the bulls FO told mirotic to specifically request snyder because they are really after something we have?

Well... for one, he plays for the Spanish National Team with a certain point guard. Namely, Rubio. Also, the Jazz have been selling an All Euro team and Euro style of basketball. Due to the intl flavor of the team, I bet he would love to play here with a point guard who fed him to a Gold medal in 2016 and who let him to be the MVP of the tourney. Just saying.

If Chicago wants a 1st round pick for him, we won't be that team. But if another team is involved that wants expiring contracts, then I could see Clarkson/2020 LA 1st to Chicago, Mirotic to the Jazz, Favors and a Jazz second rounder to LA. ESPECIALLY if Mirotic plays hard ball by not waiving his no trade clause without going to a specific team.

PS. I think that Mirotic is a great fit for us. We expiremented with the All Defense team and it fell short given the first half of the season. So, we need to get back to a more balanced squad IMHO. Mirotic can do that. We have 'lock down' lineups that we can put in. But we need Offensive lineups to boost scoring when everything goes silent.

Mirotic would have so many people excited if were closer to .500. Instead, we have to weigh the tank vs the chances of becoming a 7 or 6 seed.

I think Mirotic fits really well here; I just don't know how we get him without going with a 3rd team.

Yes, it basically comes down to if anyone is willing to give up a 1st for Mirotic, because Utah isnt.

I dont think Mirotic is that picky about where he goes to force a trade to Utah.

favors is a great defensive player still.
