OFFICIAL: Utah Jazz will not offer Ty Corbin a new contract

@NapoleonKFAN: Lindsey says there were philosophical differences between management and Corbin. #jazz

Makes sense.
Like playing Jefferson for **** loads of minutes in a re-building year? Or not running any semblance of a legitimate offense for 3 years? Or not having a decent defensive game plan?

I expect a great breakout season for Kanter and Burks.

I'd love too see a starting five of:

Burke
Burks
Wiggins
Kanter
Favors

Bye bye Hayward! Not worth the money he is asking for... Should try to get something for him...

Rudy T -- Bring him out of semi-retirement; Great with Big Men
Sam Cassell -- Asst. coach for Wizards, appears to have done a great job with Wall. DL has a pre-existing relationship with him from Rockets days.
Kevin Ollie -- Hottest name right now in coaching
Nate McMillian -- Lead assistant with Pacers
Earl Watson -- Probably should be an assistant first, but if he retires...

Let's see what actualy happens this offseason before we jsut throw Hayward out. I said it before and i will say it again. Hayward is exactly what you want to surround your marquee player with.

Disagree on the Hayward front. It's easy to kick a man when he's down. And the Jazz wouldn't be able to get anything for him. They either match an offer or don't - it's that simple. Sign and trades are largely a thing of the past with the new CBA.

Gordon is a very talented player. There's a reason he gets invited to the national team camps. He just needs to be used like he was last year. Let the PG do his job. Hayward can occasionally be a playmaker, but not almost every time. Increase his shooting efficiency, downgrade his assists and he can be an 18/5/4 player.

Besides, whatever he's paid really doesn't matter. Jazz have plenty of space up to the luxury tax for 5 years. The tricky part for Utah will be when the next pay raises come around.

Just thinking out loud, I think Alex Jensen will be retained. It's only a matter of time before he's handed the keys somewhere.

Here's a name to keep in mind as someone that's highly thought of and fits the analytical bill: David Fizdale.

I disagree. You always need to be smart with contracts. That way you always have room to make moves to improve the team.

I just heard DL during the press conference that they might bring Ty back into the organization.

Dennis,"I would never rule out the possibility of having Ty Corbin as a member of this organization in the future."
