Fournier is straight better than Hood by almost every measure. More consistent, perhaps most importantly.
Fournier also isn't on the fritz with the Jazz.
Consistent is definitely not a frequently used descriptor of Fournier.

It's super strange.I think watching some Magic games may sway some people differently. NBA.com and Basketball Reference isn't the same.
The only think I don’t understand re: Fournier is why people are so eager to trade two dimes for a quarter but absolutely scoff at trading a nickel for a $0.50 piece. It's super strange.
I get wanting out of Hood, but to want to do that to get Fournier? It makes no sense.
1000% guarantee he's talking about Niko. What do you mean? Who is the $0.50 piece?
It's about fit.It's super strange.

And I believe Tony Jones said in a radio interview Jazz had little interest in Fournier (or it might have been an opinion they shouldnt, cant recall exactly)

And most dudes ain't back-flipping for either Hood or Fournier.... it's just a good, mostly lateral move.
That's what I thought, but with rare exception, most of us really want Niko. The only reservation is giving Chicago a lottery pick. I think if Chicago would accept Favs, JJ or Burks and a lottery-protected pick, Lindsey would agree to the deal in a heartbeat.1000% guarantee he's talking about Niko.
My thoughts, too. I'm not sure I necessarily agree with Jones on this one. If Rodney would agree to a deal at $17M, I think Lindsey would sign him. The fact that Hood is on the trading block suggests he's asked for much more. $17M for a shooter of Fournier's quality is very reasonable - even cheap. Not sure who else Lindsey would target...maybe he thinks O'Neale is the answer and the Jazz don't need another wing. That's my fear; Lindsey has a history of being cheap and believing Quin and the developmental staff can turn anyone into a top end rotation player.Just said it wasn’t happening and mentioned his contract... it was on the podcast. Guessing it was more his opinion stated as a fact. His name has been brought up by others.
I think Hood for Evan is a lateral move but the cost is fixed.
Indeed. If anything I would say Hood has more versatile offense. The number of unassisted shots Hood takes would shock most people here. He's relied to create SOOO MUCH. The Jazz pretty much require him to be Harden-type. It's kind of miraculous that he's even at 54% TS right now with the type of shots Hood gets. He gets only 33% of his 2p shots assisted and only 71% of his 3p shots assisted. This is insane. For most wings in the league those are at around 60-70 and 90-95... If Hood had someone to create more easy shots for him and he wasn't required to save our possessions with expiring clock, I can absolutely see his efficiency jumping up quite considerably. We know he's no Harden... it sucks that we are forcing him to be that because noone else on the team(besides Mitchell) can create a shot...He really isnt. He had 23 points, 1 rebound, and 1 assist tonight. He had 0 FT attempts. He was terrible on defense. He is clearly less talented than Hood, he just has the luxury of playing on a team where there are more offense creators so he doesnt have to force as much offense as Hood.
