Official Utah/Minnesota/Philadelphia Pick Watch

It could be Rudy... DLo... coach. Naz played very well with Rudy out. While KAT is out he will still get lots of run... when he is back Naz will be out the rotation.

That is what I am saying though... I think they have these clicks like Ant, Naz, and Kat, Dlo... and Rudy may not fit all that well with either. It feels like that was a shot at someone.
Well damn, let’s trade for Naz

Wolves up 10 on Denver… looking super frisky… Jokic bitching to the refs on every call… gonna make this hurt when they collapse in the second half.

Good thing the Jazz don't get Cavs picks for 2 more years. Don put up 71 and he's looking like he even tries on defense these days.

Minnesota beat Denver tonight. There was a glimpse of hope there when the Nuggets cut it to 2 in the 4th after being down double digits. Gobert was the only Timberwolves player with a negative +/- tonight.

Jokic was *** tonight… super weird officiating too. Players only meeting worked I guess lol.

Lol I enjoyed their 6-game losing streak A LOT. I almost forgot that they will win a couple games now and then.
I’ve been watching them a bunch. Not fair that they didn’t have to play DLo. Luka Garza is surprisingly effective… it doesn’t seem like it should work but it does… it’s weird.

Minny will finish way in front of us. No doubt for me bout it. KAT will be back and event they are not that good, they are better than us. They may ended in the play -in.

More than that, he admitted he didn't try in Utah at all and that now he has chosen to try. What a bitch.

The bummer about the Jazz/Wolves scenario is that the Jazz dropping out of the play in tourney likely means the Wolves get in. I just cant see OKC/LAL (barring trade) being better than Minnesota over the next 4 months.

Knight/Garza/Reid. They have some interesting backup 4/5 types. Too bad that's the last position type they need.

We need to poach Reid. I think MLE type of offer gets it done. He is unrestricted FA. I think he's the perfect flexible 3rd big. Gives some rim protection and some 3 point shooting... good pairing with Lauri and Walker.

Mehhh, Jazz really need a strong rebounder. Reid is a mediocre rebounder, so is Lauri, so is Walker.

I don’t disagree with needing a strong rebounder, but Walker is a mediocre rebounder?
Maybe mediocre was strong, but I dont think he is a great rebounder. He might have good overall impact on the team rebounding, but individually he is pretty mediocre for his size/position.

Like I dont think you cant be a good rebounding team with WK getting 30 mpg as a starter, but he isnt going to carry your team's rebounding without other strong rebounders (especially strong out of area rebounders) next to him.

For reference, WK's defensive rebounding percentage according to BBall Reference is 24.4%

Rudy Gobert's lowest % was 27.2 and his highest was 36.3

I think Kessler is a good rebounder, but not great. He does a good job of boxing out, but isn't strong enough to hold his position some times and doesn't have the crazy length of Gobert to rebound over everyone. I'm sure he'll get much better, but would agree with your general premise that you need to surround him with better rebounders than we surrounded Gobert with.

Per statmuse.com, mean rebounding percentage for centers this year is 16.8%. He’s 19.1%. It would help to have the standard deviation, but of those who qualify on minutes, there are only 7 guys in the entire league with a higher % (Adams, Jonas V, Sabonis, Gobert, Portis, Zubac, Nurkic).

A better question is, who’s a “strong rebounder” we can bring in and why isn’t said rebounder on this list?
