I don't know what tacit means, but yes I disagree with your assesment of ain't. Outside his harassment of the moderators here I really appreciate his work.

Tacit agreement requires an overt, non-verbal act. Outside of a thumbs-up or similar mechanic, I don't think you can give one of those in a message board.

Silent agreement, perhaps.
 
Obviously I need to join jazzhacks. The number of posts on that site would double overnight and the tone of the board would turn super dark.

I wasn't going to respond to this because there's really no point, but I'm bored. Your posts 99% of the time make you look like a hard *** know-it-all, although a lot of the times I do agree with what you say. Sometimes, from your choice of words, it rubs people wrong. Deal with it. Whenever anyone calls you out on it you back peddle and back peddle hard. I'll go back to being oversensitive and wet the internet, because you know, you're so intimidating.

I see Archie got a bump in new members in the last few days.

So, folks, it's like this. When you go to Jason's house, it's sorta good of you to respect Jason's ways. Archie has been keeping his place open too, for perhaps no good reason, even though most of his offerings are actually in here, also for perhaps no good reason. But at least you can go there and find some different people. It's win/win for all.

You'd certainly make a splash. On a case by case basis, you might make a new friend or two just being willing to deal with it.

So, after looking over 'netchat a bit, here's the demographic I come up with:

guys/gals who would rather chat than watch TV re-runs. Subgroups of all kinds hanging on some common interest, like the Jazz.

VUPs---Very Unhappy People----striking back somehow at "The World". Subgroups hanging on specific pathologies.

True Trolls: Subgroups include but are not limitied to Progressive Agenda Monkeys and Anti-Progressive Agenda Monkeys, er. . . . . Anti- Constitutional Law/Human Rights Agenda Monkeys and Populist/American idealists. The list really just depends on what you want to see in the world around you.

Some folks might think trolls are just in Disney productions and fairy tales, just ugly little subhuman cretins or something, but in some forums with patrician professions they are really just the folks you want to kick out.
