This interaction and the subsequent replies remind me of JazzyFresh, who famously had trouble grappling with hypotheticals. I've even read somewhere that It's a running theme in many conservative individuals.

I guess if you've constructed a fantasy world that you've adopted as your reality you can't just go around freely imagining other possibilities. You've got to repeat your affirmations (Stolen election, voter fraud, Hunter Biden's laptop, lock her up, SOCIALISM!!!, males pretending to be females to win at sports, CRT...) so much already just to maintain the illusion.

I've heard that it's derived from a lack of empathy that tends to be higher in those circles. I personally think it's a synergistic dynamic between the lack of empathy and low intelligence. The combination of the two makes it uncomfortable to attempt to imagine scenarios and lived experiences that aren't one's own. Add a little dash of Dunning-Kruger and we get the typical modern conservative.

Meh, I respectfully ask that this place leave me out of your hypotheticals from here on out please(little did you know i was OBVIOUSLY being facetious back at such a ridiculous hypothetical that you missed it not me(the irony)). I want NO part in the hatred, flat out insecurity, and childish "tribalistic" bully tactics that I've seen on full display here from a few, not all, of you. ...Or maybe Hunter Biden's laptop was real, CRT or similar variants of identitarianism do appear to be in fashion right now in some parts of our culture, and the prevalence of biological males/females pretending to be the opposite gender is at statistical all-time highs. If there is a dose of Dunning-Kruger being exhibited, it is in those expressing cope to deny the obvious or misdirect with irrelevant details such being wrong about motivations to dismiss the reality of pretending to be the opposite gender.

I think he is trying to imply that he collapsed due to the COVID vaccine, otherwise it has nothing to do with it.

But it does show the danger of all these false allegations. People start to take incidents like these and point to them saying "see, another athlete collapses, is it COVID vaccines?" which just needlessly spreads the conspiracy further and further.
