See, now you are also making conclusions based on Sterling's personal comments alone, which really isn't that much different from those Chinese making a big fuzz about Morey's tweet. Besides the comments that he made in a private recording, there was never any substantial evidence to show Sterling ran the clippers with prejudice when he was the owner.Sterling was a racist who ran his organization with prejudice. That's a different situation entirely, and the NBA as a private organization can enforce its own rules.
It was “offensive” to the Chinese government. When dealing with China that is all you need to pull the trigger lolMorey says he supports Chinas protesters. That's offensive nowadays. Give me a break.

Likewise, what Morey openly posted on his Twitter account could be viewed by China as an evidence that he ran a Houston Rockets team with "prejudice" against the Chinese government. Since we all know that most of these Chinese corporations sponsoring the Rockets over all these years had strong ties to the Chinese government, Morey should've known the potential consequences that would come from the comments he made.

He should if he thinks that Rockets doesn't need the Chinese market any more. I'll support him for that. And what's your point? That Morey shouldn't have expressed himself?
Are you ****ing kidding me ?? There’s times of stories that he viewed and treated his players as possessions and like cattle to be used and paraded around and famously didn’t like having white players on his team.
You are missing the point. Comments that Sterling made alone was clearly enough to make him a racist and inapt for ownership. Similarly, Morey’s post on Twitter alone was clearly enough for China to withdraw its sponsorship. Words you said matter. Are you ****ing kidding me ?? There’s times of stories that he viewed and treated his players as possessions and like cattle to be used and paraded around and famously didn’t like having white players on his team.
This is the consequence of a worldview in which growth is the most important thing, at the expense of everything else. The funniest thing here is that the NBA makes way, way too much money as it is. This is ****ing ridiculous.
And somehow they thought what did was smart lol.
A lady from news media tweeting about NBA doing the "smart" thing by acknowledging Morey's comments as "offensive" to chinese while supposedly supporting his freedom of speech lol. Wouldn't be surprised to see her tweet deletedThis tweet isnt loading what was it?
Daryl Morey, GM of the Rockets, tweeted something in favor of the Hong Kong democracy protests. China immediately announced it was pulling the plug on all things Rockets related. NBA forced Morey to recant, and issued a statement in support of China. Disgraceful. Can someone explain to me or link me to an explanation of Hong Kong and China.
