Hayward getting extension???

I don't see how it could be a richer deal than Favors. I think Lindsay is smarter than offering Hayward a max deal and I think favors would command more on the open market than Hayward would, as agile, rim protectors that can play the 4 or 5 with some offense are very rare. Maybe the richer part comes from a year longer, like a 5yr/ $50m with the fifth year being a player option.

For his size and position his ball handling is above average. Is it PG good, no.

I don't know. Maybe I just see all the times he tries to take someone off the dribble or use the pick and roll and having it get stripped or him losing the handle and it discourages me.

I'm pretty sure someone said it has to be max to be a five year deal. Amirite?

IMO Hayward's handles are only at times bad since we've at times forced him into being the primary ball handler. When we have a PG who can dominate and distribute the ball (hopefully it can be Burke) I think we'll all be very pleased with Hayward's handles.

While I see this at times also Hayward has a 2/1 assist to TO ratio. Most of those assists coming of him being a ball handler. He well never be PG good when it comes to handles he is just to tall and lanky. But from a wing position he is much better than average

Maybe I'm being harsh about his handles. Sounds like I'm in the minority on this. That's good for us if true.
